Co-Ed Softball: Yummy Or A Disaster?

As I type this section of the blog up, I have it made today. I'm doing some middle school work and most of the kids at this school get to leave for some band festival, either by playing in it or just watching. Basically, 80% of my day consists of not even having a clasroom, so I get to hang out on the computer. How tough is that? Then again, that's a drug to me since I live online enough the way it is once I get home from work. Maybe they're testing me to see if I'll be foaming out of the mouth at day's end from being on here too much. After 2 weeks ago of not being online much, I gotta make up for lost time somehow, you all know how it goes.

Softball is in the air. This year, some of my crew has got in a softball league in Morgantown. I figured I'd join that action as it has to be a good time, regardless of the actual level of talent on the field. Last Sunday, we had our first practice/scrimmage. There are definitely some very weird rules though. First, it's a co-ed league. That can't be too bad because honestly, in a league, there has to at least be a few chicks that are worthy of checking out, bouncing around. Hey, I'm a guy, not much else to do. I like my odds on that one. With that in mind, I can't see the talent being much at all in this league, but oh well. Then again, I'm sure I'll have to see quite a few manly buff chicks that could break me in half, but let's hope those aren't common. That's our yummy or a disaster question from the subject. For the locals, the ones on the team that you'd know would be Cork, Mule, his chick Kellie, Trev, his bro Derek, other bro Devin The Dude, and all of their chicks. We have some others that I haven't met yet that are from Morgantown, so I'm sure it'll work out.

Now to the whacked out rules. The dudes have to bat with a wooden bat, which I like anyways. Chicks can use the metal, they dig it. Also, homers don't count. If you bash a homer, you're out. Dudes can only go to 1st base on a hit, no matter how far it goes. That totally takes away my game as I planned to go Ichiro style by just slap hitting and zooming around the bases since speed is probably my best thing in softball. After you're on first, if someone after you gets a hit, you can run to home if you'd like, so you have rely on the rest of the batting order to help you out. Two dudes can't bat back-to-back as it has to go dude-chick-dude-chick, etc. Someone also can't jump in front of someone for a catch either. I know, weird, but I guess that takes away from some dude being a one-man show. I'm going in just for the fun factor though. We went to have a practice last Sunday and another team showed up and wanted to scrimmage. They weren't any good either, but it was a great time. I manned centerfield and had fun with that. Look out when we get our league shirts (still forget who sponsors us, some bar up there that I wouldn't have a clue on) which are green and of course I get #33. I'm rambling on this topic, but will mention that Trev already mangled his hamstring last week. It bruised up right away and he was laying on the ground. Mule also had blood gushing out of his knee. Games start in a week or so, should be interesting to see what kind of bums are in this league.

What was up with American Idol this week? They baited us into watching a 2-hour show that had no results whatsoever. On Tuesday's show, we were down to the final six people. Those would be Lakisha, Doolittle, Lil Sparks (I call her that since her dad is former New York Giants NFL baller Philippi Sparks), CRich Timberlake (Chris tries to be Timberlake basically), Beat Box Boy Blake, and Bald Phil. Yeah, I realize I'm hooked, deal with it. Based on Tuesday's performance, I thought that CRich was going to get the boot on the following night. At this point, I have Sparks winning it all, but we know how quick that can change. Anyways, last night's show was a telethon so to speak as they tried to raise money for kids in Africa and also kids in the US that also need help. The stories they showed were rough and it was for a good cause, I give them that. Howevahhh, at the end of the show, they trick us by saying there will be no cuts since it was a charity show. You kidding me? Yeah, I'm the loser here. Also, what was up with that outfit Kelly Clarkson had on? It made her look huge. I was talking to my boy ManDingo during the show and he thought the same thing. I know she's probably a thicker chick anyways which is fine, but you'd think she would've had something halfway decent on instead of making her look twice the size she is. Those who saw it, know what I mean. She still looks good to me, but last night didn't help her standing too much in my chick rankings.

Speaking of, assuming this is true, we get a good little gossip story on Sanjaya and his family as they all smoke it up. Basically (and you'll read) is that his mom and stepdad were busted for growing weed in their garage. Sis-jaya (way hot regardless to me) was charged with possession too. The ending cracked me up with the line of: Ganja-ya! Maybe it's because I'm bored and anything now will make me laugh. Check this out:

Here's one thing that gets me and most others who live in West Virginia. The rest of the country doesn't even know we're a state to begin with. I guess I have to accept that. Second, a lot assume that we're just part of Virginia. I'm not expecting people to be awesome with geography, but come on, get with it. I'm not out there bashing North Dakota and saying they're just part of South Dakota. I know my state is bum hicks, but still people should know that we're an actual state. You tell some from out of state that you're in West Virginia and they're like, "Oh, yeah. I know Virginia!" No, not the same, but you can't make some people understand. That's when the pimp slap should come across their faces repeatedly, like I give the 7th grade students for being punks. I was talking to a buddy of mine from the mean streets of Webster County and this is what Chrissy had to say on the subject which had me laughing, but it might not any others, who knows:

Chrissy: Gosh darn it i might not care for the state but darn it im gonna make sure its put out there correctly lol
Chrissy: Oh I know that burns me, I hear that a lot when I was down at CU like alot of people didnt know WV was a state till they acutally came here
Chrissy: And I hate when people do the WVA there is no A anymore

That's your quick history lesson of the day. What else is on the agenda to speak of? As wrestler Konnan famously says, "Let me speak on this."

Are there still any Real World fans out there? I admit that I am still hooked, you know how it goes. This season is a weird one, but I don't miss an episode. Brooke might be the most emotional chick ever. She's on the level (or past it) of Paula Walnuts a few seasons ago. Jenn is a dirty slut. Colie is too stuck up on herself. Ty goes nuts on his chick, roughs her up and wizzes in public. Davis is the gay dude that CT (best Real World character evarrr) busted on the first week of the latest Inferno. Stephen gets into all of the moral/biblical arguments and definitely is opinionated. Alex is a manwhore. There's your storylines in a nutshell.

We do have a good bit of new CDs over the past few days, so we better jump into that. Not that anyone cares, but it's tradition around here and this is where it goes. As usual, if you're ever bored to see my updated CD list or might even want to trade, get at me:

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony: Strength & Loyalty. Solid. I'm a big Bone fan anyways, so maybe my opinion doesn't mean as much. This is worth the purchase though. Everyone knows of the single I Tried by now, I posted on that a few weeks ago. Others that are great on this CD are So Good So Right and Sound The Same. As an added personal bonus, my favorite Bone member (Wishbone) gets more verses than usual, he brings it.

C-Bo & San Quinn: 100 Racks In My Backpack. We go to the Yay Area. I haven't heard all of this one yet, but these guys go at it hard (no homo). The album name is creative and putting these two together is sure to make a nice CD. I realize most reading don't know these guys, but give them a chance if you're into rap, you'll be surprised.

Joe: Ain't Nothin' Like Me. Want to pimp your lady friends? Pop this CD in and as my boy DerekHood says, you'll be pushing them out of the door. You'll have to bust out the hickory stick to keep them away. I still don't know why Joe doesn't get as much respect across the R&B charts, but the big fans definitely know this guy is for real.

Redman: Red Gone Wild. Hilarious raps tied in with a nice flow. Red doesn't try to be anything he's not. If you like his older stuff, you'll like this. 23 tracks on this beast, so you get a lot of stuff as he filled it up rather than coming easy with some 50 minute CD just to get something out in production. A few song names? Walk In Gutta, Wutchoogonnado, Pimp Nutz, and Hold Dis Blaow. How can you go wrong with that?

State Property: Out On Bail. State Prop, Chain Gang! Yep, that bunch. Formerly of the ROC, Beanie Sigel and Freeway lead the boys in this star studded album. I'm a HUGE Freeway fan and still bummed he hasn't put anything solo out in a while. Outside of those two you get Twista, Rell, Peedi Crack, Noreaga, and Young Chris just to name a few.

Yung Meek: Go Get It. This is one of those CDs I got just because. I'll listen to anything and give it at least one chance. I haven't heard this guy yet, but all I know is that's he's from Houston. We're just winging it with this CD and getting his name out there in blog land, Thug Chuc style. Maybe we'll find one of those gems.

Bird's Dirty Thug Ho of the Week:

Bird's Video Moment of the Week: I know everyone hates the Starburst Berries & Cream commercial. It's so horribly bad that it's actually funny. Here's a good remix:

Bird's Song of the Week: Birdman & Lil Wayne - You Ain't Know. The song currently on my MySpace page, but check it out here too: Hey Felisha, don't forget the Baby.

3 Quick Thangs:

1. I have to get another video in because this one is just so good. Maybe it's my weird humor, but I was in tears watching. There's 3 parts, but I'll post one. It's a guy giving commentary on his Super Mario Bros adventures. Doesn't sound like much, but I could listen to this guy get fired up and cuss all day long. Again, thanks to Kasher of #basketball fame for providing us with some classics:

2. Now would be a good time for a quick fact. What is a chiromancer? It's a palm reader. Don't say I never brought some knowledge to your heads.

3. Let's rock out some birthdays for Thursday, April 26th: Actress Carol Burnett is getting up there, 74. Up next would be actor Jet Li, he turns 44 today. Wrestler Kane of See No Evil fame goes for 40. T-Boz of TLC, she's 37. That's all I have for ya. See you in another week or so, good times. Thanks as usual for reading this madness.

Road Trip: Atlantic City Style

I should have an insanely long post to rock out with this edition, so bear with me. There will be something for everyone, try to stay with me here. I'll hit all bases, but most of this writeup will deal with my crew's trip to Atlantic City, New Jersey and DC over the past weekend. I'll open up with last Monday's trip to scenic PNC Park in Pittsburgh (best ballpark in the nation) and then get right on the AC trail. After that, we'll touch ground on some new CDs and do our usual ending. Hopefully it's an enjoyable read because I'm ready to come up with some fierce text knowledge for your heads. As we usually do, you get this advice free of charge. Hey, just being a nice guy is all.

Monday it was time to roll to Pittsburgh for their Opening Day against the Cards. I do the driving for this one and in the passenger seat is my boy Cork. It barely reached 40 degrees for the game, but we were pumped up regardless. It was a supposed sellout and standing room only. I think some stayed home since it was so cold, but we were fine. The biggest cheer of the game came late in the game when the sun peeked out for a few minutes. The crowd erupted at that, funny stuff. A nice pitching duel, the final was 3-0 Cards. Usually when we go, it's way high scoring. On the way home, we roll to Chili's in Morgantown where Cork works. He hooked me up with a 50% discount which rocked, so props there to him. Also, for the locals, we sat beside Coach Rod for whatever that's worth. Not a lot to me, but it's worth mentioning regardless. We walked in with his family and I was curious to what his wife looked like in person. I was telling Cork she looks hot on TV, but Cork said in person, it's not the same. He was right, she's not that hot at all, doh.

Let's fast forward to Friday morning, the main part of this blog. I get picked up at 7:45 AM and the road trip begins. We rolled 9 deep: Me, Ozzie, Maria (Ozzie's new chick), Kari, Matty Cakes, Fortney, Abbey, and Spank. I was technically the only single person on the trip, so that's always interesting. I can never keep up with my boy Spank on whether him or Alicia are together, so I always say he's not single anyways, that's how it works. They'll get married one day I still predict, but I don't stick my nose in any of that drama. As far who dates who and what goes on in town with hookups, I know less than my buddies that moved out of state, it just doesn't interest me much. We rented a van and I loaded up on car sick pills and took the very back to just chill. Luckily, I didn't get car sick, even with Ozzie driving like a maniac, but we got there. Hearing Kari get fired up at Ozzie's driving never got old the entire trip. Kari tells it how it is, the best way to be. I'm kinda the same, might as well just be honest and speak your mind. Some people may not like it. We're not trying to be punks, but if you want an opinion, I'm always willing to drop those.

As far as the ride itself, you can't beat a road trip. Spank and Fortney rocked it out with karaoke. A mixture of music on the ride, so that was fine by me. Not very much country that I can remember either. One stretch on the ride we got to talking about weird porn. Of course the guys had some good things to say on that, some things that locals have done (might surprise ya), and all of that action. This next thing wasn't anything major, but it turned out to be one of my favorite things on the trip. We were rolling along, about a half hour from Atlantic City. To the left of us, we see this thug doing a straight gangsta limp and seemed like he was in pain doing it. He was crossing traffic and would grit his teeth all gangsta style and we'd provide running commentary from the van. Why we didn't get a pic of this dude is beyond me. Each step, Fortney would be giving out a big mean "Yeahhh!" and I was literally in tears. Guess ya had to be there. So that became a running joke the rest of the trip with some of us as we'd do the limp and yell along.

The hotel situation I was big on. Somehow, the 3 couples stayed in one room, which made sense, but I doubt it was a lot of room. That meant that me, Spank, and Cork had a room to ourselves with a bed to ourselves, I wasn't complaining. 3 in one room, 6 in another, doesn't seem fair, but that's how they wanted it so I was cool. We had a little kitchen in the room and the TV setup worked out fine, pimpin place. It was either ESPN, BET, and one night we watched Deep Cover, a classic movie in my mind. That movie also featured the debut of Snoop as Dre made him what he was in the song Deep Cover, check it out.

Gambling wise, the casino part of the trip wasn't my cup of tea at all. I'm not a gambling guy and don't need people blowing smoke in my face. Spank did pretty well with that, while the others seemed to hold their head out of the water and just gambled a little. Last time I was in AC, I didn't gamble a dime. This time, I figured I'd throw $20 in a quarter slot machine, but it went by in about a minute, so that's never fun. Yeah, I'm tight when it comes to that stuff. Spank got it going on horse racing and blackjack. The others seemed to be pretty hot on blackjack as well. We thought we saw Clinton Portis in Bally's, walking out, but we weren't totally sure since he had big shades on. The guys with him were big and had Redskins coats on, so who knows. No other celebrity sightings.

Saturday was more wide open, so I liked that day. I woke up and had to get a workout in. We had a pretty nice setup with our hotel's gym as they had a Smith Machine (even though it wasn't too smooth), tons of treadmills, elipticals, and machines for everything else you can think of. I was surprised the others came along for the workout, so props to all of the guys for coming down and getting their buff on. I got a little run in, plus hit chest, back, biceps, and abs for whatever that's worth. Not too much I'm sure, but I'm writing it anyways.

After the workout section, it was time to get our shop on. Some guys aren't into shopping, but I don't mind it at all. I tend to blow too much money with that at times, but you do what you do. Spank and Cork opted to gamble while the other 7 of us went to shop. We joked that Spank was just along for the ride and we didn't see him a lot because he gambled the entire time instead of hitting up other things, but he had a blast and that's all that matters. Outlets all over the place and then Caesar's had a real nice 3-story mall inside its casino. Pretty crazy. Anyways, I loaded up on 4 new pair of American Eagle boxers, an AE fitted clover hat since it matches my Celtics gear, and then got a nice Celtics championship banner at this sports store that was a must buy. I was going to try out one of those dirty 24-hour massage places which I'm sure has a happy ending, but I figured I'd spend that money on the Celtics banner.

On the mall inside Caesar's, the top floor my crew shouldn't have even been allowed to step foot in. All the rich boy stores were there like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, etc. Most of the places I hadn't even heard of. I remember seeing this hair band for a chick that was $250. And that was one of the cheapest things in that store. The workers would look at us dumb rednecks and wonder what we were even doing in there, it was good times. We had to check it out though, it was definitely interesting.

I spent a good bit of money on food for the trip and that's what I planned. You can't put a price on some good food, nope. A few things though, as they say with Northern people, they're definitely total dicks for the most part. I could see the average person being that, no biggie there. But I'm talking about restaurant workers and the like. The farther South you go, you get that hometown feeling and everyone seems to get along and goes out of their way to be friendly. Also, the people up there have NO clue what sweet tea is. I tried to order it at this one place and this chick gets all grouchy and says, "Uh.. you must be from somewhere down near Virginia huh?" Close enough I told her. Even if I would've said West Virginia, everyone in the country thinks we're just Virginia anyways. We need to introduce these people to some real sweet tea and pepperoni rolls, we'd make a killing. Not saying everyone up there is like this, but more so than farther down. It was easy for everyone to pick up on our accents though, that's always a happening. I like how some people in my area say that we don't have an accent. People, we sound like big hicks, deal with it. I don't think I act like a redneck, but I sure sound like one.

The chick scene in Atlantic City? Brutal at best. This totally surprised my crew. Cork pulled out, "There's hotter chicks in Morgantown!" He was right, because there weren't too many good dirties up there at all. You'd think they'd be all over the place with all the people up there, running around half naked, but didn't see much of that. Also, we didn't make the wanted tittie bar trip for this stop. I think we got too caught up with other things and that wasn't as much on the priority list. I didn't see many actually. There would've only been a few of us that would've went anyways I doubt, but would've been a funny time getting the couples convinced to go. I've always said, for as much as I'm into porn like everyone else and stuff, I'm not huge on tittie bars. I'll go, but it's pretty rare, it just doesn't do a bunch for me. On the count, I've been to 4 different ones before (Lil Vegas, some dirty old truck stop place Jane Lew had, one in Morgantown, and a few years ago at some grimey ghetto joint in Atlantic City which rocked, never visited one more than once. Speaking of chicks, we ate at this one place and this one waitress (who I thought looked good regardless) was in a weird outfit. She was wearing a skirt with black hose and sneakers. This idiot from West Virginia doesn't have much say with style, but that was weird to me, oh well, she was still busting out of her top, so I didn't complain when she'd come over to our table.

Saturday night I had one of the better times on the trip. It wasn't anything major, but me and Cork wandered off on our own and went to Caesar's. The others spent most of the gambling in Bally's and didn't check much else out. The chick scene in Caesar's was better though, more of a younger crowd. We didn't want to gamble, so we found the TV section and we were instantly hooked for about 3-4 hours straight of watching baseball games on 4 different TVs at once. I got to watch 13 innings of the Yanks game, can't beat that with a stick. This older Italian couple sat beside us after a while and we were chatting it up. I can talk to anyone, so of course I'll ramble to them and tell them what I think. Come to find out, they're huge Yankees fans from New York and good people. Her husband is a big wig for Modell's, one of the main sponsors for the Yanks and they knew their stuff. I probably saw the most amount of Yankees gear as I've ever seen in my life in AC. I know most reading hate the Yanks, but I had a good time as the game heated up and hearing the crowd in Caesar's get pumped with the game and hearing the NY accents. All of that for free. Forget gambling when I can watch live baseball all night, me and Cork were loving it.

Sunday and the trip moves to the nation's capital, Washington DC. Out of the 9 of us, I was probably the only one looking forward to this part of the trip. That's because an NBA game was part of it, sweet. Bulls at Wizards. One story alone made DC and hopefully I can get some pics of it soon. As stated before, we rented a van for the festivities. We went to go to a parking garage and saw the clearance was 6'5". A few of us were guessing our van was about 6'7" or 6'8". Ozzie decides to go underneath the garage anyways. How the van didn't get torn up, I have no idea, but he was bashing water lines with the van, the clearance signs raking the top, and some sections we couldn't even get through. We were all in tears laughing and of course Kari was giving Ozzie every cuss word in the book. Once again, Kari makes the trip entertaining, gotta love it. And that's a good thing. We eventually got out, but barely. If our van had been a half inch bigger, we would've been stuck underground.

That's a good branch into the couple deal. Early on in the trip, Ozzie's girl Maria had to be scared to death with our bunch. First, she didn't know any of us hardly and knows about a day before we leave that she's going along. Bonus points for toughing that one out, but she fit in fine by trip's end I thought. Plus, she's Italian, so I'm biased and she gets bonus points on that, good find Ozzie. The other two couples have been together for a while. Matty Cakes definitely fits into the family as him and Kari will be tying the knot next year. A great dude and we got to hang as we battled in the arcade while everyone else was napping (boo on the naps on a vacation) and go to stroll around town while running into a local bum at a convenience store. The Fortneys had me going good since they'd make good cracks at the couples since they've been through it and rock out the married life. I think everyone got a kick out of Ozzie and Maria "true lovin'". Had to be Spank or Fortney that was picking on them for that, but all in fun, you know.

This is turning into one of my longest posts ever, so I better get towards the bottom half of this thing while you all are still awake reading this..

A few new CDs to make mention of. This is what we have added to the collection:

Devin The Dude: Waitin' To Inhale. Devin is talented if you've never heard his stuff before. He's probably the most laid back rapper I can think of. He makes his rhyme topics basic, he talks about weed and chicks. He's not out there making up things about him shooting up people or being a thug, he's just doing his thing. As he says in the song Broccoli & Cheese, he busts out the chorus of "Girl this dick is so clean, this dick is so clean that you can boil it in some collard greens. Girl this dick is so clean, girl this dick is so clean that you can serve it with some lima beans. This dick is so clean, it'll probably go good with your broccoli and cheese." Yep, that's different, so I had to put it in here, it cracked me up. Maybe it's just me. Snoop, Andre 3000, Lil Wayne, and Bun B all part of this CD.

Tha Dogg Pound: Dogg Chit. I liked this one. It reminded me a lot of older DPG stuff. My favorite song on this has to be Dat Ain't My Baby. If you can find that, give it a listen. Snoop, Too $hort, and The Game are all on this beast.

MIMS: Music Is My Savior. The CD itself isn't bad actually. He came across a lot harder and rapped faster than I expected. However, I'm about to bash This Is Why I'm Hot into the ground and bury it for good. They play that song ever 2 seconds and it needs a break for sure. His new single, Like This sounds good, but I hope it doesn't get ran into the ground as well, but we know it will.

Timbaland: Shock Value. A ton of people on this CD. Not one song is Timbaland by himself on. Beat wise, he's up there near Dre's level, so that's worth the purchase alone. We get a weird variety of people on this, but here is who is involved: Timberlake, Furtado, Dre (with a verse actually), Missy, 50, Yayo, and Magoo. Then we get towards the end of the CD, whitey rocker dudes which seems different such as The Hives, Fallout Boy, and even Elton John out of nowhere.

Bird's Dirty Thug Ho of the Week:

Bird's Video Moment of the Week: Courtesy of #basketball, this comes from my boy Blahah:

Dola Dairy Mart

What's up to the blog readers out there? It just seems like yesterday that I put a new one up. Time is flying for sure. April is here and April Fool's Day went by with no big action. I never got into the whole trying to fool someone and nobody fooled me this year, so all is cool by me. Funny thing is that I mowed grass for the first time this year on Tuesday. It got to 85 and I ended up getting sunburnt fairly good. It doesn't take much for a big whitey like me to get roasted. Now, we're supposed to get a little snow at the end of the week, go figure. 85 one day and 35 the next. Only in the mean streets..

I'm not sure anything too crazy has went down over the past week. I say that enough, but just being honest about it. Don't worry, I'll have some interesting things to chat it up about. I'll open up with some family action. No, not that type you freaks, even though you assume that since I'm in West Virginia. We roll to scenic Cunningham Run on Saturday to tear up some food and watch the NCAA Final Four games. For a little dude, I rocked it out eating way too much Tally sausage and peppers, but it's always well worth it, one of my favorite meals. It was also the last appearance (maybe?) around the family for a few years for my cousin Zack and his wife Jody. They're doing it big by going to Doha, Qatar. Now here's a guy that barely gets out of Shinnston (me) and they go worldwide for a few years. They're pumped, so I know they're making a good choice. My Mom has a thing on her bulletin board by our phone with where they are going written on it. On first glance at "Doha", I thought it said "Dola". This may only pertain to the locals, but they should've moved to Dola, West Virginia, after being in Houston, hah. That'd be culture shock for sure. I gotta respect Dola though since my Jerry West jersey of those days hangs in the rafters of Dola Dairy Mart, or I wish anyways, but it's been a running joke for years, so I always say it.

Another thing on the family gathering of that night was Big Ashton, cousin of mine. Dude is like 2 years old and has a beer gut, it's great. Most little babies are all the same to me, nothing too exciting. You say how cute they are and all of that mainstream stuff just to say it. What else can ya tell someone about their baby? But he was doing his thing that night, wobbling around, knocking into things and was some entertainment, and this from a guy who usually doesn't think much of babies (I'm sure I will one day), but he's a good one. He looks like he can bust some heads. He'll grow out of that gut though, but he wasn't over there whining 24/7 (maybe that's one reason I'm not great around babies, or at least the wee little ones is when they don't shut up), so thumbs up to Big Ashton for that.

11 days off in a row coming up and of course I'm pumped up. Instead of actually being a total bum and living on the internet for 11 days, I'll actually have some road trips going on. I wrote about that in the last blog, so I won't review that again. I'll write about the happenings from those trips when they happen, but just be patient, you know how I do around here. I'm not sure when the next blog will be. I may be able to squeeze one in next Thursday since that's a hole that I'd be home for. We'll see, I like to keep everyone on their toes.

Anyone get WrestleMania 23 this past weekend? I won't keep you long with it, but I was able to do pretty well on my predictions. I only had one that I missed this time around, when normally I'm all over the place. It's not as easy to predict as you may think. The match that I didn't get right was the ECW Originals taking on the New Breed. Overall, a nice show I thought. There were only two bum matches. That was Kane against Great Khali (in what I was sure to be brutal to begin with) and the chicks match (but at least it was quick). My favorite match was either the main event of Cena and HBK (surprised this one was to this level, but it delivered) and also the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, those guys took beatings.

Baseball has started and I'm pumped up. A good time of the year for sports in my opinion. We got NBA winding down and coming into playoffs in a few weeks. We also get the NFL Draft later in the month on April 28th and 29th. Outside basketball, possible softball being played, and whatever else goes down. Speaking of playing ball, the past few weeks, my crew has had some big injuries. Luckily (now that I say this, watch me mangle myself soon, I really hope not), I've been very fortunate over the years to not suffer any major injuries while playing ball or working out. Spank and Booger tore their ankles up pretty good last week. That happened on Tuesday. Thursday rolls around and Booger shows up with a purple foot and toughens it out for a few games. We don't have much sense, but that shows how much we like to play. Spank was even on crutches for a few days for his and somehow played on Tuesday of this week. I've always wondered how a lot of my buddies can ball in low tops. I'd mess my ankle up good with that. At least wrap it up, but they know their bodies I guess.

You know what fires me up? I know I'm not the only one with this gripe either. That would be printer ink. You can get nice deals on real good printers for not too crazy amounts of money. But what gets you is when they bait you in to buy new ink cartridges. For mine, it takes a thing of color and also one of black. Each of those go for no cheaper than $30. That adds up quick if you print a lot. I've tried getting some off brand ink, but it didn't do as well for me, so I stopped going that route. Ink can't be expensive, but I guess it's like getting gas for your car. Nothing you can do about it, we still have to pay it regardless. They need to start putting printer in on the black market, have some thugs hawking it off for dirt cheap.

Currently I have 31 bookmarks on my browser. I'm not sure if that's low, high, or whatever. I figured it was random enough to make the mention though. Nothing too out the ordinary that I can think of, the usual. Sports sites, a lot of wrestling things, a bit of porn (90% of people look at it, I don't care what people say or admit), a few gaming sites, rap stuff, etc. I try to branch out, you know the deal.

On a sidenote, who's the chick in the new Right Guard RGX commercials? Is she a nobody or has she done stuff before? Now that's some quality if you're wanting my opinion on the situation, top notch chick. I'm a sucker for long dark hair anyways, but she gets it done. There are 3 of them out that she's in, 2 they have on the website. and

A few good comments last week. Clark, I remembered Fleece's birthday when I talked to him on the phone a few days before that. Not sure why I didn't remember to put it up in the blog though for the masses to read. Dom, glad ya approved of last week's Dirty Thug Ho of the Week. To that he said, "Wow Bird, I'm impressed, that's the meanest thug hoe I've ever seen on the internet. She's looks really authentic and dirty - that makes one hell of a thug hoe." And Coop, I like that you're pumped for Bono, was a big day for him. I'm sure you'll get a chance to chat it up with him soon. Maybe he'll make the trip to New Zealand and come after you next. :)

Bird's Dirty Thug Ho of the Week:

Bird's Video Moment of the Week: I'm loving this one. It cracks me up when the crowd gets into the dude dancing, great stuff:

Bird's Song of the Week: I know most reading probably aren't into rap, but that's how it goes around here. I'm posting it anyways. Fabo is back in action after taking a little time off. Here's his new video, Diamonds:

3 Quick Thangs:

1. How are the birthdays looking? I'm going to step up to Friday this time, April 6th. Country singer Merle Haggard, he's doing his thing at the age of 70. Actor Billy Dee Williams, he's also going for 70. If Bob Marley were still around, he'd be 62. Actress Marilu Henner, she's nearing getting up there, 55. Jason Hervey, Wayne Arnold of Wonder Years fame and also had a role in backstage WCW happenings in the 90s, he turns 35. Candace Cameron, DJ Tanner of Full House fame, 31. Not an A+ level, but it'll work this time as we hit from all angles.

2. This kid in my area, he's in 8th grade and stands 6'8" or so. That's just ridiculous. Seeing him walk through the halls with these tiny middle schoolers around him is definitely a sight. Whether he'll has real b-ball talent, we'll find out in a few years I'm sure. Either way, that's a freak.

3. Let's go with something you may or may not know: Only female mosquitoes bite and drink blood. Feast on that knowledge I drop on your heads until next week.
