What is up out there in internet land? Things are going fine here. 3-day weekend for me, so I can’t complain. Props to Veteran’s Day. In this edition, I’ll talk about movies, playing ball, wrestling, new CDs, and whatever else goes down. At least I didn’t go over a week between posts like I did last time. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen anytime soon.
First off, I’ll start out with a funny story. I won’t even have to say much on this one and it’ll have people cracking up just with the basics, or so I think anyways. This week at school a dude got caught jerking it in the bathroom. I couldn’t make that up if I tried. Not sure what’s going to happen to him if anything, but it’s probably more embarrassing that everyone knows who it was, so they’re cracking jokes. Guess he couldn’t wait till he got home.
The movie of the week? Herbie: Fully Loaded. It wasn’t a bad movie at all actually. I had doubts on it, but everyone seemed to like it and be interested in it. It’s not even an hour and a half, so it’s a quick one to get through. Predictable, sure, but what movie like that wouldn’t be? This is also before Lindsay Lohan got all cracked out. Now she’s 63 pounds and a freak of nature. A freak of nature in a bad way that is.
For the locals who aren’t up to things, we’re now balling on Thursday nights from 7:00-9:00 at The Lighthouse. Feel free to stop down for the action. We’ve had some good runs the past few weeks and the best part of the deal is that it’s free.
I talked about picking up Jake The Snake: Pick Your Poison double-DVD the other day. The commentary alone is enough to buy this gem. The commentary part is 1:40 and Jake leaves nothing out. A great storyteller and one of the best in-ring technicians ever who had the crowd in the palm of his hand. Unfortunately, he was a completely different person outside the ring and couldn’t beat his demons. You get to hear his drug stories, his needed-to-be-heard story of his early family life, an awesome portrayal about how much of a punk the Ultimate Warrior was, and of course wrestling. I haven’t started watching the matches yet, but I’m excited. And on Tuesday? I’ll have the Bret Hart deal that won’t be able to stay on the shelves.
Denny’s trip last night and nothing too major went down. It was me, Cork, Abby, Ally, and Whitney. Major props to Cork today since it’s his 24th birthday! We get the waitress who hates Cork. We don’t even know the reason why she hates him, but she does. Lately she’s been acting all fake and excited when we get there, which is funny. I get the buffalo chicken strips and raspberry tea. I didn’t load up too much since I wasn’t that hungry. Just was nice to get out of the house and be a bum up there. No action this time, but still worth the regular trip. We didn’t go to Wal-Mart on this late night run, but I was already there on Friday anyways.
I know it’s been a few weeks, but I finally got my Halloween pics. I’ll post one here from the night that I wrote about a while back. From left to right: Cork being a gangsta, my cousin Kari, me doing the Beavis thing, and my cousin Ozzie being a chick.
I know a lot of you guys are into the whole blog craze. I’m the same way and you know you get bored enough to check out random places. Thanks to my girl Yvonne who posts here, she throws this jewel at me: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=5327837&Mytoken=d9fbf5bc-3cd8-4390-ba29-d05c4c9f214b.
This is from a guy in Bosnia who has a great collection of music on his page. Anyways, check out the song “I’m A Gangster” by Josh Tobin. It’s #3 on his page and the lyrics are creative. “I’m a gangster, grrrrr, I’m mad. I’m a gangster, my rhymes are bad.” I know I’m easily amused, but I’ve been listening to this one repeatedly today. And for some reason, Laffy Taffy is really growing on me. That one is getting major airplay.
Now it’s time to mention a few new CDs I got since our last post:
Chamillionaire: The Sound Of Revenge. Awesome stuff here and you need it. Turn It Up featuring Lil Flip is one that is released now and it’s high quality from super producer Scott Storch. Also on this album is Krayzie Bone, Mike Jones, Pastor Troy, Bun-B, Lil Wayne, Scarface, and Killer Mike. One of the better albums I’ve heard this year.
Thug Angel – The Life Of An Outlaw Soundtrack. This is from the 2Pac movie/documentary for those confused. Mack 10, Tech N9ne, The Outlawz, and Mac Mall on this joint.
Young Buck: T.I.P. I’m not sure why, but no G-Unit members are on this CD. The only notable guy in a track is Bun-B.
3 Quick Thangs:
1. I’m currently rocking out to some Axe Touch shower gel. It’ll have me turning down chicks left and right, hah. Or something.
2. What other birthdays are today besides Cork? 1976 Olympic gold medalist Nadia Comaneci is 44. Ross of Friends turns 39. Former heavyweight champion Michael Moorer hits 38. Baseballers Sammy Sosa and Derek Bell go for 37. Tonya Harding, Happy 35th.
3. 4:04 AM right now as I type this up and it’s currently 33 degrees.
