Thoughts From The Internet Junkie

It's been a minute, but I'm back. I figured after Spring Break and the CD List, that'd give me some energy to get back to a regular post in here. And I look to bring the goodies this time for the millions and millions of loyal fans (well, maybe just a handful) wanting to read along. Nothing big happens, but I'll give you my theory to combat that. I'll ramble on about various topics to make you think I actually do something productive with my time.

For the American Idol fans, what kind of crack is Paula Abdul on? Seriously man. On Tuesday night's show she broke down and cried after Elliott's performance. While it was really good, she made a fool of herself the rest of the night by bouncing around and looking like she drank about a case of Red Bull. Still hot for a MILF, even if she probably doesn't have kids, you know what I mean. But now she has the crazy factor going, not cool. Pickler got kicked off. She can't sing at all and finally she got exposed. She did play her character up great though, I'll give her that and she's hot.

Real World the past few weeks has been interesting. The Key West crew got in the middle of a hurricane, so they spent a few days out of town. Paula Walnuts is a total mess. She met a buddy when they went to another town and started flipping out like she usually does, telling stories about her man who put her in the hospital and then she says that she misses him too. Johnny Bananas and her have a sit-down when they get back to Key West (house wasn't torn up) and he pretty much tells her she's a freak and that it's time for her to start a new life in Key West. The hug. Of course, she called her ex on the phone.

On Saturday, it's off to the mean streets of Cleveland. What for? Me and Cork are hitting up our first baseball game of the year and we're due. We're going to see the Indians take on the Rangers for Grady Sizemore Bobblehead Night. I've talked about that before in posts though, nothing really new to admit, but that's just to refresh anyone wondering what's going on in my daily life. It'll be a sellout as almost all Bobblehead Nights get rock solid attendances. I'm doing the driving for the festivities, so that should be interesting enough by itself. My driving skills aren't the best to say the least (I'm the worst backing up person there is if that makes sense), but I've done the Cleveland drive before, so all "should" be fine. I'll report on that sometime next week. It's a 4-hour drive there, not bad.

Between Paula on Idol and Paula on Real World, I'm beginning not to feel weird at all that I'm such a wrestling fan. I think that's much more sane than these pieces of work. Speaking of wrestling, this Sunday has a big one and that is WWE Backlash. I like the buildup of the Three Way of Triple H, Edge, and Cena. Finally a nice storyline instead of screwing it up. We also have Vince and Shane McMahon taking on HBK and God. Yeah, you read that right. They have a situation where it's a Handicapped Match, but the idea of God is placed inside. Strange. I'm looking forward to RVD and Benjamin going at it and I hope they let them just go all out instead of holding them back WWE style. Kane versus Big Show, bathroom break time. Still, Mickie James and Trish is a great feud and both have acted their parts out almost perfectly. Flair is going to put over Umaga. I'm not sure where they have Umaga going, but I'm not feeling it so far.

Also in the wrestling news, I finished a great book, especially for the ECW fans. It's called Hardcore History: The Extremely Unauthorized Story of ECW. As much of a ECW diehard I am or was, this book has stories that even the biggest fans don't know about. It's also very well researched by author Scott Williams. Pick this one up. On the ECW newsfront, Vince is wanting to start it up again this fall. Paul Heyman (maybe he's playing God and teaming with HBK) and Tommy Dreamer are supposed to be the creative minds backstage if they go through with it. I'm leery though. First, ECW shut up shop 5 years ago. A lot of their wrestlers are beaten up and mangled, but the fans' want is still there. It will never be the same ECW as back in the day as it was totally uncensored, but I hope they run small venues and let them have their own style both in the ring and on the mic.

I don't know how to conduct myself now that the NBA season is over with. It's playoff time and I love that, but I'm talking fantasy basketball. The EDDFL season is over and Chad Fleece ended up taking the $400 prize. Mudcat came in 2nd and got $150, while Spank was 3rd out of 12 in the league, picking up a cool $50. I ended up in 7th Place, 4 points out of 6th. Not where I wanted to be, but don't cry over spilled milk. You can never prepare too early for the next season to begin and I'm already looking forward to next year's draft. October 2006, here we come.

A few new CDs to mention and those are:

Avant: Director. A very good pimpin' album. Avant does it big if you're not too familiar with his work. JD, Lil Wayne, the Pussycat Dolls out of nowhere, and Lloyd Banks are part of this one. 4 Minutes is the song released so far out of this one. And one song is called Grown Ass Man, that title alone is enough to crack me up.

Da Backwudz: Wood Work. This is a new duo from the ATL that has been getting a lot of hype. On first listen, I'll admit I wasn't that big on what I heard. Some names on this though and that is Killer Mike, Bohagen, Big Gipp, Sleepy Brown, George Clinton, Slim Thug, and a true legend himself in Nas. Maybe I'll like it better on second listen.

Movie day tomorrow at school. I'm not sure what I'll roll with as of yet. I know that one class brought in Friday Night Lights and can't wait to watch it. I've seen it before and most of them have too, but they still want to see it again. That works with me. I'm not sure what I'll get for my other classes if they don't want to watch that one. Speaking of movies, for the locals, I still haven't been to the new theaters in either the Meadowbrook Mall or Morgantown. Hit me if up if you're wanting to check out a movie one day. I'll have to knock the chicks off me with a stick since the waiting list will be so long, hah. I can only wish. I kid.

3 Quick Thangs:

1. I'm sitting here on my lunch as I type this section up. In today's lunchbag I have a ham and provolone sandwich on wheat with mustard. I also have a pack of crackers, 2 Hostess cupcakes, and 2 packs of fruit snacks. I do it big.

2. I went to bed last night by 10:00. I've been in a coma all week from being an internet junkie till 1:00 or 1:30 each night. So I finally tapped out early. You all should be proud.

3. Blood drive yesterday and I rocked it out. I've always given mine for the past 6 or 7 years at least probably on a regular basis. I don't get why some people get all scared for it or won't give. It's easy and it can really help someone out. Give it a try.

Saturday Night Beaver

Today's topic is courtesy of a find by The_Freak from one of the greatest movies of all time, Boogie Nights:

"Let's get some of that Saturday night beaver."- Chest Rockwell

Spring Break! Sweet. It's finally here. Yeah, I know what a lot of you guys are thinking. It's really late in the year to be having it, but that's how it goes. You take it when they schedule it. I'll be taking the annual family trip to the mountains. My parents have a place in the mean streets of Harman, West Virginia and it'll be nice to get away for 4 or 5 days to be a bum, do some trout fishing, and whatever action is there.

I'd like to wish a Happy 27th Birthday to my cousin Angie, who turns that on Easter Sunday. We're getting closer to 30, crazy stuff. Have a good one down there!

The only downfall to the trip is no internet. By the time I come back I'll literally be freaking out that I haven't been online for a few days. I know, it eats me up. I'm a total junkie and have been that way on here for about half my life. But I'll survive. I may post up my CD list when I'm gone since a lot haven't seen that in a while. 95% of it is rap or pimpin' R&B, but there's a few other things in there too.

We're down to 7 on American Idol as this week good ol' Bucky got sent home. Bucky wasn't great, but he was improving and you couldn't help but root for the dude. He's just a regular redneck bum that you'd see walking the streets of WV. I thought Elliot would be gone and some of my boys thought Ace would get the shaft (no homo). Well, both of those dudes were in the bottom 3, so we were close. They did Queen songs, but I haven't heard what this upcoming week's action is.

Kasher posted up pics of my girl that were supposedly not to look that good in the last comment section. She's still the hottest chick on the planet in my opinion and that's Mariah Carey. Check her new video if you don't believe me. It's called Say Somethin' and features Snoop in it. She knows how to work it. One thing bugs me though and it's about Snoop. When will the mean Snoop return or will he ever? Give me the 1992 Snoop who straight brought it. Now he's all about the pimpin' stuff. That's fine and dandy every now and then, step up Snoop. Ice Cube has a new CD coming out in June and he'll bring it for sure.

What's going on in Real World? Many of you out there watching this season from Key West? The theme this week circled around Paula Walnuts (the name given to her by John, ode to The Sopranos), the anorexic chick. She talks about how her ex beat her down all the time and now she wants to hook back up with him. I don't get it, maybe I'm weird, but I can't feel sorry for this bum. Your dude literally beat you half to death and put her in the hospital. A guy shouldn't touch a chick, let alone beat her. But it's even more stupid when that dirty girl wants to go back with that guy. She's just going to get the ol' Chin Music to the face again. It's bad when Slutlana is giving her advice and usually it's Slutlana that is breaking down and crying like a little girl. This drama rocks though, you know you tune in for the same reason I do.

A real nice crew of CDs I loaded up on this week. Something for everyone in this set:

Do Or Die: Get That Paper. These guys used to be a lot more mean back in the day, but they're some of the best pimpin' rap guys out there. Still a very good CD I thought from these legends.

LL Cool J: Todd Smith. Speaking of legends, here you go. He's been doing it for over 20 years and still is on top of his game. Juelz, J-Lo, Mary J, Lyfe, Jamie Foxx, Teairra Mari, Ginuwine, 112, and to top things off, we even get Freeway on this CD. He was on 106 & Park the other night and locked down a performance of the year candidate. Dude is all jacked out too.

Messy Marv & San Quinn: Explosive Mode 2 - Back In Business. Yep, my dose of Bay Area rap. I haven't heard this one yet, but I'm excited to hear this madness.

Pastor Troy: Stay Tru. PT Cruiser has a style all to his own. This ATL rapper has been in the game for a while and brings crazy energy and raps with authority. I liked this CD.

Trill Of The Trill: Welcome Home Pimp C. This one is a dedication to Pimp C getting out of jail. Pimp C is one half of the group, UGK with Bun-B. An awesome duo with those two and tons of people have a song on this collection. It's a 2-CD set as one CD is screwed and chopped garbage. I just deleted that one.

Time for the wrestling paragraph. I'll start things off by saying I really am into the new Triple H theme, Bow Down To The King. I thought it sounded weird at first, but now it jams. American Idol needs to sing wrestling songs one week, hah. The Trish and Mickie James saga keeps getting better. Mickie is now blonde and dresses and tries to look like Trish. Trish came out on RAW with brown hair which I thought she looked great in. Dark hair rocks, go back to it Mickie. A good ending to the HHH/Edge/Cena match that will set up their 3-Way at the new PPV. Real cool to see Ring of Honor wrestler Colt Cabana on RAW too.

The new season of UFC The Ultimate Fighter has started on Spike TV. The coaches are Ken Shamrock and Tito Ortiz. There's a deaf guy on this season too, it's been interesting. Also on Spike TV, TNA has changed their nights to Thursday instead of Saturday. Same time though, 11:00 PM.

It's time for some lyrics to post. It's been a while. This one comes courtesy of The_Freak. It's by Royce Da 5'9" and the song is King of Kings. We all know that title belongs to Triple H, but here's a sample:

Who knows what's finna happen next?
Cousin of death, with predictions that I can promise
Gave it to Nostradamus and now he touchin the rest
The heart caller, balancing birds on my finger
Nerves of a cheetah, birthed with the urge to walk water
Foul searchin, bi-weekly, all-purpose
Talk verses in dashikis and fly turbans
Enter the scheme of things, all love
All thugs get judged by me, the king of the kings..

3 Quick Thangs:

1. Ugh, I wish I could stop biting my nails. It's been a habit forever. I guess I could be addicted to crack or something, so this isn't too bad.

2. Celtics season is about over. I'm not sure how I'll manage.

3. "Winner winner, chicken dinner."

Jesse Camp

Today's topic is from The_Freak. Props goes out to him for providing this one. It's been a while since I've heard about this goofball, but here's a link for those who may not know him: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesse_Camp.

Here we are again to bring you more goodies. It's weekend time around the mean streets of Shinnston. This is going to be the busiest time of the year for me for the next month at least. Finishing up on my grad courses, setting up meetings at school with my kids' parents, and just waiting for the school year to be over so I can just uh.. do nothing? That sounds good to me.

A corny new show that I'm big on is Yo Momma. This is a new MTV show on trash talking battles and it's great. Some of these guys (and chicks) can really bring it. I suggest you check it out as it's worth the mention. You know that Yo Momma jokes never ever get old.

One reason why I like winter better than summer? Mowing grass. Ugh. It's not like I live on this huge area either, but it still isn't fun mowing grass. Today started that madness and I'm not happy about it. I'll survive though, fear my grass cutting skills. Me and Cork always joke that we should just concrete our yards and be done with it. That'd take care of things for sure.

8 people left on American Idol. My girl Mandisa got the boot last week. No, she's not hot or anything, but I still think she's the best "singer" of the group. I picked Elliot to get knocked off, but he's hanging in there. The country week really helped Pickler and Bucky get it done. This week it's Queen week as they all have to sing.. you guessed it, Queen songs. That should be interesting.

What has been going down with Real World action? There's a lot of drama with their job. They're putting together a place to sell spray-on tan and things of that nature. Slutlana, while one of the hottest Real World chicks ever, is nothing but a big baby when she doesn't get her way. She's still crying because she wasn't voted manager of the group and then tried to change the store's look without permission. Next week we get to see Anorexic Paula flip out and she says how her old dude used to beat her. So far not an awesome season, but we're getting drama at least and that's all that matters.

A while back I commented in my CD section on a guy called Thug Chuc. I was impressed with his CD and he apparently got back to me via email this weekend. Always good to get a random email from a rapper you listen to. He gave the props for me giving him props (make sense?) and is interested in an interview one day. Could be interesting if it's the real deal, so stay tuned.

I still haven't commented on WrestleMania 22 from last week. Overall, I thought it was a great show, much better than last year. My predictions weren't so hot though, but that means it surprised me some, which is good. The only bad parts of the show were the Undertaker/Mark Henry match and the Playboy junk. Sure, any guy likes seeing half naked chicks, but don't have them wrestle and call it like an actual wrestling match. Just have them bounce around naked instead of embarrassing the wrestling product if that's the plan. I'm weird.

Anyone ever need to get me a cheap gift that could go a long way? You can't ever go wrong by bringing me some Cadbury Eggs. They're only the greatest candy ever and they get hyped up enough in here. I should get some loyalties from the makers since I like my chances of eating more of them than anyone I know. So if you need a favor or something, I'm sure you could bring me with a slew of Cadburys.

3 Quick Thangs:

1. Haagen-Dazs ice cream, Strawberry. It's rockin' good stuff.

2. A week on the No-Xplode supplement I was talking about before, it's some potent stuff. Load up on it, it's worth the price.

3. We're nearing 2 years of this Blog. May 21st and it'll be here. Does that cause for celebrations in the streets of Shinnston?

WOOOOWEEE TITTIES AND BEER!!!

Today's title of the Blog gives credit to my girl Jenn Jenn. Yep, that one if you were wondering Kasher. I gotta hook up my WV peeps and give them the opportunity to fire off a title for the fans reading at home. What's up Jenn? Thanks again.

Hey to everyone out there reading along. Things are going great here as I always try to be in a good mood. I'll have enough topics for everyone to find something they might enjoy in there. Or so I hope anyways. Let's get things underway with movie talk:

Last week's movie was King Kong. There were 2 copies left at the video store I go to when I got there on Thursday after work. There were probably 30-40 total copies, so I timed it right. Me and the kids I have in class absolutely loved it. It's 3 hours long, but don't let that scare you away. One of the better movies I've seen in quite some time. Jack Black in a serious role? I know, you wouldn't think he could pull it off, but he does great. Maybe you will feel differently. Cork said it was way too long and boring for him. If you've seen it, let us know what you thought. Also, what should I rent this week?

I'm probably not talking to many out there, but just in case you're a big workout person, this paragraph is for you. I've never been a big supplement guy, but I'm on something new that is awesome. It's called No-Xplode. You've seen the commercials advertised by Ronnie Coleman and Triple H. It's a pre-workout mix that has Nitric Oxide and Creatine in it, with zero sugar. Most creatine mixes have tons of sugar, so that's one selling point. You take it 30 minutes before you workout on an empty stomach, and I'm telling ya, you get an insane energy rush and a pump going before you're even in the gym. Veins popping out and you're shaking by the time you're done, I highly recommend it. On a personal note, I set a new bench press mark for me. I put up 255 and weigh 160. I don't toot my horn much, but that's a good lift for a little guy. My goal I set a long time ago was to one day get 100 pounds more than my weight up. I'm close, but it won't be easy. Anyways, check out the No-Explode information here: http://www.bsnonline.net/store/noxplode.php.

For the MySpace fans out there, I've switched up my background and a few other little things. It's nothing major like some sites are, but it's something different. I know there's nothing else to do around here, but MySpace and sites like that are addicting. You can look at bums you don't even know and then you look up at the clock and it's an hour later. If you're on there and I don't have you on my list, feel free to add me. My site is: http://www.myspace.com/drudown894.

Baseball season opens tonight and I'm pumped up. I hope to hit up quite a bit of games over the summer and try some new stadiums out. Me and Cork already loaded up on tickets at the end of the month. Saturday, April 29th, we're going to Cleveland to watch the Rangers battle the Indians. It's Grady Sizemore Bobblehead Night and Jacobs Field is an awesome place. It's already almost sold out, so we had to get out tickets early. Bobblehead Nights anywhere are madness. It's fun times to watch people get in near fights over these figures so they can run home and put them on eBay and make money.

Speaking of baseball, we'll get some Billy Ripken action up for The_Freak. We were talking about this yesterday. The baseball card collectors will remember this one for sure and it's one of my favorites. Yep, the 1989 Fleer error. Following is a picture of it too if you've never seen. One of his teammates played a joke on him and wrote "FUCK FACE" on the bat's handle. He didn't know and when he went to take his Fleer photo that year, it showed up on the pic. It started selling like hotcakes. The company and editors didn't notice when they produced it either. I remember my Uncle Butch blew that card up to poster size and it was hanging in his store.

One CD to mention since the last post and it's a good one. T.I.'s King. I think this one is a lot better than his last CD. Still not the quality of his first few. UGK, Jamie Foxx, Young Jeezy, Pharrell, Common, Young Buck, T-Pain, and Mike Jones just to name a few on this beast. He also rips into 50 if you're into that type of thing. He gives big respect to Young Buck and even has him on a song, but he's not a 50 fan. My favorites on this thing are What You Know (released now), Live In The Sky, and Bankhead.

WrestleMania is tonight, so I guess I'll talk about that in my next post. Last night was the WWE Hall of Fame Induction and I thought it came across as a fun show. If you didn't cry during the Eddie Guerrero stuff, something is wrong with you. Some touching stuff. Also, I read that the crowd was chanting for Triple H earlier in the show and Cena even got a "Fuck You Cena!.." chant directed his way. The crowd was hot and it was quality. They chanted for Austin and Hogan to fight. Austin kept trying to dodge it by talking over it, but eventually took a jab at Hogan. The Hart stuff was short and I read they edited a lot of that off TV, but he's still a legend. It's always great seeing the old legends in the crowd too. Flair was having a great time, cracking up at everything.

3 Quick Thangs:

1. The Heat/Cavs game yesterday was unbelievable. LeBron with a nutty triple double of 47pts/12rebs/10asts. Wade countered with 44pts/9asts/8rebs. That's two of the best going at it in one of the better one-on-one matchups in years.

2. 2 more weeks and I finally get Spring Break. It's getting here I have to keep telling myself. A late one this year.

3. Right now for the pimp spray, I'm going with Axe Essence.
