Updated CD List

I'm going out of town until Friday, so I figured now was as good of a time as any to put my updated CD list in the Blog for those who don't get to see it updated on AOL Instant Messenger under DruDown894. 6 Quick Thangs

What’s up with this topic? Well, I goofed in my last Blog and didn’t even notice. My girl That’s Me had to let me know in the infamous comment box that I forgot my new ending style that I’ve been using. Since I slacked on the last Blog (at least in that department), I’m going to both open and finish thing chat with my rundown. First things first:

3 Quick Thangs (3 more to come at the end if you’re in a coma and are lost by how I explained that; 3+ 3 = 6 for the math geniuses, to get 6 Quick Thangs):

1. It’s pretty sad when little middle school kids know everything about drugs, get busted with them, and I don’t have the slightest clue of what they look like or do. Guess I could be worse off.

2. Is there a better old school logo/colors combo in sports than the 1970s Atlanta Braves gear?

3. Doritos might be the most addicting thing on earth, even more so than porn.

While scanning the legendary Lobstah (http://lobsterrodeo.com/balls/), Kasher posted a topic that struck my mind. Apparently there is going to be the release of The Sandlot 2. It’s not going to the movie theaters though, it’s going straight to home sale, ouch. Should I feel happy or sad about this? I’m not really sure how to act. A completely different cast obviously, so that will be rough to see. The first one is my all time favorite movie, so I will at least check this one out whenever it hits the stores.

Also in the movie scene, I rolled to Wal-Mart the other day. As a tradition on a Wal-Mart trip, you have to Ric Flair Strut straight to the cheap DVD bin. Yep, the $5.96 bin or whatever it’s up to now. To the side of that, they also have some under $10, so I scanned that one as well. I see a Special Ten Years Edition 2-Disc set of Reservoir Dogs. I’m probably one of few who hasn’t seen this movie, but based on Lobstah (plugged it again, sweet) reviews, I had to catch up on this so called classic. The main selling point to me at least was seeing The Matador. Yes, the one and only Michael Madsen from ESPN Tilt. If he’s one of the main characters, I’m in for the buy. And the buy only cost me $7.96. I robbed Wal-Mart good on that one. I’ll let you guys know what I thought when I watch that one sometime this weekend if all goes right.

I’m all over the movies lately. At work this time, in one of my classes we watched Once Upon A Time… When We Were Colored. This class I subbed for had a project during February’s Black History Month. This movie was on the list, but they didn’t get a chance to see it and get their learn on. I’ve never seen it before, so I might as well watch it and get paid for it. Before the movie started, this white chick kept asking another teacher why they always had to watch black movies. Directly in front of her was this black kid and he straight up went off. Gats pulled from his side, pointed it to her head, well.. He was fired up, but without the gats. The movie is from 1995 and features Leon and Clair Huxtable (Phylicia Rashad). I never thought the kids would like this one, but they did and it gets a thumbs up from me too. It’s set in the 1950s Dirty South with racial overtones. It even features South Park’s Chef, Isaac Hayes.

Speaking of the Dirty South, how was RAW this week? It was set in Birmingham, Alabama. We’re getting very close to WrestleMania, so things are rocking it out big time. HBK starts the night off right. How’s that? With a match! Straight off the bat, no ring talk, just how wrestling should be. He took on the underrated Rob Conway and got the clean win. Nice match. We also had a top notch Tag Match with Edge and Christian doing their usual going against Jericho and Benjamin. Please bring the tag division back onto RAW, it’s seriously lacking and they can do a lot with it. Where have the Dudley Boyz been? I see they’ve wrestled some with OVW, but get them back on RAW. Why have Benoit fight Tyson Tomko? That’s a slap in the face to Benoit. Our main event was Triple H’s Pick Your Poison and it was a Lumberjack Match with Batista locking horns with Kane. Did his arms explode and ooze of roids in the middle of the ring? It wasn’t much of a match as all chaos ended up breaking loose. Batista does end up getting the Batista Bomb for the win though if you care. RAW ends with HHH standing on the announce table staring down Batista. Mania is $50 this year, but that won’t stop me. You can’t put a price on wrestling.

I went on a little CD downloading rampage the past day or so. I guess that means it’s time to let you all know what is added to the new collection. First, I had to buy another CD case for the collection as it’s never ending. Now I have 4 big cases, 2 with 256 and 2 holding 206. I have to leave some spaces in there since I add on a regular basis, so it works out decent. It’s a pain putting them in there alphabetical though. It can take a good while and it cranks your back doing it all bent over and stuff. Anyways, onto the latest downloads:

Eminem: Off The Wall. This is a 2000 production that didn’t make it in the stores. You get a lot of Dre beats here which you can’t ever go wrong with. You also get the raw and funny Eminem who tells it like it is. The controversial Eminem if you will, funny stuff. Check this one out if you get a chance.

The Game: West Coast Resurrection. I haven’t listened to any of this one yet, so I’m not sure what to expect. This is basically an entire album alongside a Bay Area legend, JT The Bigga Figga. Based on that, it can’t be bad I wouldn’t think, but then again, I love Bay Area rap as you all know.

G-Unit: The Realest Killaz. A compilation tape featuring 32 tracks on this beast. Dave Chappelle even makes an appearance on this album. I liked this one all the way through on first listen.

New Edition: The Best Of New Edition – The Millennium Collection. This goes way back to the very young days with the crew. Yep, that same New Edition that is composed of Ronnie DeVoe, Bobby Brown, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Ralph Tresvant, and Johnny Gill. Some straight pimp music here to get ya in the mood.

Pimp C: The Sweet James Jones Stories. One half of UGK, Pimp C is in that bunch with Bun B. Pimp was sentenced to 8 years in prison for a gun assault charge. The album is out, straight from jail, with Rap-A-Lot Records. A nice crew on this one such as Bun B of course, Lil Flip, Twista, Z-Ro, and the underrated Devin The Dude. Pimp C reminds me of a thug version of Bubba Sparxxx as he has that southern drawl.

Run DMC: Artist Collection. This can’t be bad can it? You name it, the classics of Run DMC, the greatest rap group of all time, are on this piece. I don’t even think I have to say anything else. You need this.

I just got in from balling it up in the mean streets of Big Elm, our local Tuesday and Thursday night action. We’ve had some real competitive games as of late, so that’s always good to see. I’m happy most of the time to get out there to run and gun and make some fancy passes. As of late, I’ve held my temper in check. 99% of the time, I’m about as calm and laid back as it gets, or I think so anyways. When I play ball, I’m a totally different person. I guess it’s the competitive edge in me, but every now and then I’ll have a near roid rage and flip out. I might even kick junk, throw a little tantrum, cuss like a madman (which I try not to do too often outside of playing sports or video games) or whatever. Yeah, I’m an idiot, but I hate to lose is all. Why play at half speed? That’s no fun.

3 More Quick Thangs:

1. Is there anyone out there that plays ball who can handle the guy who guns all the time yet isn’t any good? I didn’t think so either.

2. My back is all kinds of mangled once I’m done playing ball, but I never hurt while I’m on the court. It’s after I get in the shower usually afterwards. Can I hire anyone out there to give me massages? Going once, going twice..

3. "Roses are red ... violets are blue ... if you look at another girl ... I will beat you." -- Doug Christie's wife reciting a poem she had written during this month's episode of HBO's Real Sports

You’re Nobody (Til Somebody Kills You)

Today’s title of the Blog comes from The_Freak and he picked this out of respect to Biggie Smalls. He picked that one since we recently had the anniversary to Biggie’s death. I couldn’t pass up on having yet another rap related title in here, so props goes to The_Freak.

I went to Wal-Mart the other night to get my shop on and outside the place I saw a nice sight. I saw a few tables of Krispy Kreme doughuts and that’s always a good thing to see. It doesn’t get much better than these. Anyways, they were selling them by the dozen and making a killing. You can’t go wrong either. They had regular glazed for $5 and cream filled ones for $6 a dozen. I had to go with more sugar, so went with the $6 deal. Check out the website if you’re bored, as I’m sure one is close to you somewhere:

The other day at work I got to watch a movie. We picked Without A Paddle and I thought it’d be cheezy, but it turned out to be pretty good actually. This one features Dax, Seth Green, Matthew Lillard, and Burt Reynolds. It’s somewhat like City Slickers for the storyline. You have three guys going out to search for a treasure and end up all over the place, getting chased by rednecks who are weed farmers. They also find out the town sheriff is actually the one running the weed farms and they’re doing this all from a map their buddy who just died plotted out to find this treasure. They end up finding Burt Reynolds who has lived in a cabin for 30 years after a blizzard killed the guy that is found by the treasure and he leads them on the right path. Confused yet? It’s not too hard to follow and it’s a pretty good comedy. I’m a big Dax fan and you can’t go wrong with him goofing off.

Next Sunday is the annual #basketball A#BL fantasy baseball draft. It’s a keeper league and we keep five players each year. Who did I keep this year? As far as pitching goes I kept last year’s American League Cy Young winner Johan Santana. Hopefully he doesn’t have a downfall too much in production this year. I also kept reliever, K-Rod, Frankie Rodriguez of the Angels. He brings some smoke and has guys’ knees buckling at some of his pitches. On the batting side I kept Yankees teammates Hideki “Godzilla” Matsui as an outfielder and Jorge Posada as a catcher. To round out my five, I have Marcus Giles, 2nd Baseman of the Braves. Underrated. I also loaded up on the traditional fantasy baseball magazine a few days ago. This year I went with Rotowire’s production Fantasy Baseball Guide 2005 with Vlad Guerrero, Ben Sheets, and Justin Morneau on the cover. Fantasy mags keep getting more expensive and this one was $7. It’ll be worth it though. Draft time is 6:00 EST on Sunday in the hallowed halls of mIRC. Maybe we can get a small revival of #basketball starting that night as well, hard to tell.

I’m talking to DerekHood now of #basketball fame and we’re talking about Hootie or Darius Rucker. I know the group is Hootie, but he’s still Hootie to me if that makes sense. Anyways, Derek busts out this quote, “So when does Darius Rucker kill himself?” What’s up these commercials he does for Burger King? The song is so stupid that it’s catchy, but he can’t be that low on the totem pole to stoop to this level can he? Apparently, Brooke Burke is in the same situation as she does her best neck accent at the end by saying “Come annnnnddd get it!” Ok, whatever. Just do more Playboy or something.

Back to the movie thing. Last night we were bored, so we flipped on Comedy Central to watch Joe Dirt. I’m not sure what it is, but I’m big on this movie. I could just look at David Spade as this character and be cracking up without him saying anything. Plus you have one of the worst actors ever in Kid Rock, but it makes for good TV since you get to laugh at him too. I guess it’s not hard for him to play a redneck dude who thinks he’s tough since he does that in real life anyways, so that makes it hilarious to me. The chick in this movie, Brittany Daniel is quality times in this one, even if she has short hair in the movie. She’s been in a few other decent movies I see, but nothing worth bragging about. If you’re a Spade fan like I am, even you don’t want to pick up Dickie Roberts. It’s that bad. It’s not even funny in a Kid Rock kind of way where you feel sorry for the bum that he’s actually entertaining.

I’m going to end with some lyrics for you guys to marinate on..

Rapper: E-40 – Song: Mustard & Mayonnaise – Album: Grit & Grind

Throw me a bone and some crumbs, watch me turn it over and flip it
Ballatician, man, ballaholic I'm ballerific

Like Do Or Die, I'm Po Pimpin'

I’m Mike Jones (Who??) Mike Jones the one and only, you can’t clone me, got a lot of haters and a lot of homies, some friends and some phony. I’ll open this piece with one of my favorite lines from the song Still Tippin’ by Slim Thug, Mike Jones (Who??), and Paul Wall. Where did I leave off since Sunday’s post? Nothing out of the ordinary has went down, but as usual, we can’t let that stop us from updating the millions and millions of Blog fans that waste their time by coming in here and reading my words. Onto the meat and potatoes of this post:

The NCAA 64 Tourney is upon us and it starts tomorrow afternoon. Everyone and their brother plays in some kind of pool when the games start up. This brings the people who can barely consider themselves sports fans into the mix. Everyone has a fighting chance to win this when you play it like that. At times, you might be better off flipping a coin. I’m not going to bore everyone with my entire bracket, but I’ll give a rundown of interesting things that I picked. The biggest upset I have this year has #13 Ohio taking down Florida. My Elite 8 has Illinois, Arizona, Louisville, Gonzaga, UNC, Kansas, Duke, and Utah. My Final Four is Arizona, Louisville, UNC, and Duke. My Finals has Arizona against Duke, with Duke winning 75-70. I’m in two money setups and the traditional #basketball league as well. And for the locals, I have Creighton taking out WVU. I see Creighton as having too much tourney experience over the past few years, but we’ll see. I’ll pull for WVU in that one, but not feeling good about their chances. I’m sure I’ll be proven wrong though.

In an unrelated story, I mangled myself the other day with Nair. Usually I just shave wherever, but figured I’d try it for something different. I’m all broke out now and it’s bad times. Apparently, I didn’t get the right stuff. I got the bottle that chicks use and learned my lesson. It was bad times for sure. I may give it another whirl, but not that exact kind anyways.

RAW this week was pretty exciting. It hailed from Atlanta and that’s usually a hot southern crowd. To open things up, Randy Orton and Jake “The Snake” Roberts were guests on Jericho’s Highlight Reel. A blast from the past! I’m surprised Jake is still alive after what he’s been through. He’s still a mess, but hopefully his past demons don’t rise up again. If you want a little more in-depth into how Jake is, you definitely need to pick up Beyond The Mat, one of the better wrestling documentaries I’ve seen. Jake still can cut a great promo and had the crowd eating out of his hand. He was setting up for the DDT and then Orton turns it over and hits the RKO. Nice segment here. The Midnight Rockers! Yep, another blast from the past. Marty Jannetty comes to RAW to team up with his former partner Shawn Michaels to take on La Resistance. The ending sees the return of the Rocker Dropper followed by Sweet Chin Music. Marty really looked like he can still go and he faces Kurt Angle this week on SmackDown. It’s nice how well Triple H and Benoit can flow together in a match. They went at it again on Monday in another nice one. HHH wins with the Pedigree after Flair distracted the ref. Our main event had Gene Snitsky versus The Animal, Batista. Batista wins by DQ once HHH and Flair come out to beat him down. Kane comes to save Batista to clear the ring. Next week, HHH picks Batista’s poison (Batista picked him to face Benoit this week) and says that he’ll go toe-to-toe with Kane.

Are you guys liking the WrestleMania commercial skits? I’m eating this stuff up. They’ve all been pretty good, but Monday revealed one of the better ones so far in my opinion. This one was a spoof on When Harry Met Sally and Kurt Angle can straight up act. He nailed this commercial and Christy Hemme played his chick. There hasn’t been one of these commercials that I can say that I really didn’t like. You can literally smell WrestleMania approaching. All of the locals are invited to my house that night if you want in on the epic action.

If you want in on the greatest 64 Tourney Pick Em league there is, you need to get with the #basketball crew. Go to Yahoo and register a name if you already don’t have one. Here is the info to hop along. Remember, if you read this anytime after noontime on Thursday, it’s too late to get in.

3 Quick Thangs:

1. Cork has me hooked on this chick, Vida Guerra. Yum, this is some quality stuff and then some. Nice and thick, yet not big, stacked, long hair, etc. You get the point. If not, you’ll like these two pics:

2. Need a GMail account? Hit me up and I’ll send you an invite. I have a zillion to send, so it’s not like it will bother me.

3. As I began the post with some Still Tippin’ lyrics, I’ll end with more, this verse from Paul Wall:

What it do it's Paul Wall I'm the people's champ
My chain light up like a lamp cuz now I'm back with the camp
I'm crawling similar to a ant cuz I'm low to the earth
People's feelings get hurt when they figure out what I'm worth
I got eighty fours poking out at the club I'm showing out
I'm a player ain't no doubt, hoes want to know what I'm bout
Biggest diamonds off in my mouth princess cuts all in my chain
Wood grain all in my range dripping stains when I switch lanes
Switched the name, it's still the same Swisha House or Swisha Blast
Mike Jones he running the game and Magnificent bout his cash
Michael Watts he made me hot hard work took me to the top
G. Dash took me to the lot he wrote a check and bought a drop
I got the internet goin' nuts
But T. Farris got my back so now I'm holdin' my nuts
It's Paul Wall baby what you know bout me
I'm on that five nine south lead baby holla at me

Once An Ass, Always An Ass!

I’m opening this one up with a topic from my boy Clark and he also provided the picture to go with it. So that makes two posts in a row that I’ve used a topic from one of my buddies. Maybe you’ll be the next one that gets to use a topic, who knows. Who knew?

It’s weekend update time (not Norm MacDonald style, but close enough) and I’m glad I have something to talk about this time around. Not that anything huge went down of course, but I’ll hit the randomness as I usually do. A quick rundown of what we’ll talk about this time: Rap beef, NCAA basketball, NBA basketball, video games, Denny’s, and much much more. I guess that’s what I always talk about isn’t it? Oh well, you get an extra dose this time around.

I can’t get enough of rap beef. Sure, a lot of it is just hype to get some of their music sold (people still actually buy CDs?), but it still makes for something interesting to follow along with. It seems now that 50 Cent is playing tough guy here and has everyone against him. I like the dude’s music, but I don’t think he’s actually smart by doing this. I updated what has been going down on that in the last update, but in this one we have some more. As 50 was trashing Fat Joe and Jadakiss, they came back a few days later with some tracks bashing him. If you’re a rap fan or not, you need to check out these disses:

Fat Joe Diss To 50: http://www.trickology.com/media/Fat_Joe-Fuck_50.rm

Jadakiss Diss To 50: http://www.trickology.com/media/Jadakiss-Checkmate.rm

Both of these guys come with straight fire. I was watching 106 & Park the other day and Fat Joe was on to talk about some of this stuff. He said at first he was cool with all of the beef and didn’t think much of it, but when 50 kept running his mouth, he wasn’t about to back down. He said on air that Dr. Dre called him (Fat Joe) up wondering what the beef was and how serious it was. Fat Joe was saying how much he respects Dre and how’s he’s the best at what he does, but can’t respect 50. Dre has been in this mess too many times in the past and I doubt he wants to do it all over again. For all of the controversy he went over while in NWA with the media, then against Eazy-E and Ice Cube when they left NWA (he’s boys with Cube now of course, but Cube has one of the better disses ever when he trashed NWA back in the day), being a mentor to Snoop as he was growing up, right in the middle of the 2Pac/Biggie situation, and even having a sitdown with Eminem about his beef with Ja Rule. The madness! It’s like wrestling or a soap opera. You know you can’t turn your eye on it, you want more. We don’t want anyone killed since it’d hurt the rap game as far as music being put out from these guys, but it wouldn’t surprise anyone if that ever went down.

You guys know I recently bought MVP Baseball 2005 for GameCube. It’s a great game, but for how good it is, I can’t put down Animal Crossing. This is one of the most addicting games ever and Cork and Spank would agree with me on this. It’s pretty much a kiddie game and when you first see it, you’ll crack on it for being a game you wouldn’t necessarily play. Spank was big on doing that and saying how he wanted a mean game with blood, but now he has to play this game everyday to update his town. We’re all pretty much like that. If you have a GameCube, get out and pick this game up used for cheap. It’ll be money well spent.

The Denny’s trip went down on Friday night. After a night of video games, me and Cork got hungry. It was bringing the snow down and was rough outside, but we figured it’d be fun times to get out there in the snow and see what the ruckus was all about. We leave the house around 2:10 or so and get home around 4:00. I didn’t figure many people would be up there since it was bad, but the usual crowd of drunks are regulars. One redneck came there in a Dodge Ram and almost drove through the restaurant windows, literally. Then there was a table filled with gay dudes, doh! One I worked with when I did the telemarketing gig. I guess if they mind their business around me and aren’t all over each other, they can do whatever. I don’t even like seeing a dude and chick all over each other in public for that matter, let alone two dudes. Drunks and gays in the same building? Two things I'm not big on at all, oh well. What’d I eat on this trip? I switched it up, imagine that. This time I ordered a hot ham and cheese sandwich, fries, and cheesesticks.

Time for some basketball action. As I type this, the NCAA Tournament picks haven’t been made yet, but even after a loss to Georgia Tech in the ACC Tourney, North Carolina should still remain a #1 seed. They can’t start out their games slow like they have the past few though. That’s not their game. They need to get out there and run and gun. I’m ready for another 20/20 game from Sean May as well. In the local scene, West Virginia is sitting pretty as well after losing last night to The Cuse in the Big East Tourney. They were struggling to even get into the 64 Tourney before the season was over, but now they sealed it with the big performance over the past few days. I’m guessing they get a #9 seed, so we’ll have to wait on that. How about pro ball? The Celtics are getting it done in a major way. On Friday, it may have been the biggest game of the year in the entire league as they downed the World Champion Pistons in Double OT by a score of 115-113. Since Walker has been in town, they’ve lost only one game and have won 6 of their last 7 games. Hopefully we can keep it up so Webber can cry more while being with the rival Sixers.

Any new CDs to the bunch since we last updated? You know it. Here we go with that rundown:

Beanie Sigel: The B. Coming. This one has a lot of people on it and although I haven’t listened to it all, it seems pretty good. It features Snoop, Freeway (anything with Freeway on it I’m interested in), Young Gunz, Bun B., Redman, Cam’ron, Twista, Peedi Crack, and Jay-Z.

Fozzy: All That Remains. For those who don’t know, this is wrestler Chris Jericho’s band. That alone is worth the get just for comedy’s sake. Jericho is the lead singer here and it’s not really that good. His guitar dudes jam pretty well, but most of the songs I’ve heard of his are pretty bad. A few though are good, but I don’t think I could listen to the entire CD at once. I barely made it through a few songs.

Purple City: Road To The Riches. This is the Dipset’s latest album. How many names will these guys come out as? Their individual albums are pretty much the entire crew anyways. Is there really much difference between a Cam’ron, Jim Jones, or The Diplomats CD? Still, it makes for a good listen.

Slim Thug: Already Platinum. If you’re into the Texas rap groove, this is for you. You might know Slim Thug from a video featuring Pharrell or his latest with Mike Jones and Paul Wall called Still Tippin’ which has a great beat. This one also has a lot of people on it such as T.I., Jay-Z, and Bun. B to name a few. You get the deep voice with good flow here, so pick it up.

3 Quick Thangs:

1. I’m not into all kinds of piercings on a girl, but if you’re keeping track at home, I love a nose stud and a belly button ring.

2. I think I set the record this weekend for amount of Girl Scout Cookies I’ve eaten. I’m addicted to Samoas.

3. Hit me up with some comments. You know you want to.

Anthony Sayre Is A Stud

Props goes out to my girl Ashlee for the weird title here, but it'll work. I guess that's what I get for asking for help on a title. :)

I can’t explain how sometimes I can write every other day in here and other times it takes 4 or 5 days. Or gasp, a week! Anyways, it’s time for another update so hopefully everyone is ready for the intense action I have to deliver. If you’re scared of the consequences that reading this can bring, then I guess you can’t hang. A lot of small topics to crackalate on this week, so away we go..

Friday night I hit up a late night Denny’s trip with Cork. It’s been a while, so we were due. Plus, I had to go check out the hot waitress we like who had a new hairdo. It gets a thumbs up from me, even if she did get rid of her long hair. But enough of that, I load up with my usual combo of cheesesticks and pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream. I like my chances of being the only guy that night in the North Central West Virginia area who ordered up that combo. Speaking of hot chicks, it’s never cool when you chat it up with a girl (another sub working one day) and come to find out that she’s married, doh! And she was this tiny gymnast looking girl, a whopping 4’11” or so. Tall girls don’t rank high in my books usually, so that’s a perfect height for me. Yeah, I know I’m weird, but I know what I like, so deal with it.

I finally bought a PlayStation 2 off of my boy Barney. It’s a nice setup and between the games I bought off of him and the ones that Spank pretty much gave me, we’re in business. I ask this question. Can you honestly go wrong buying any hockey video game? I’ve never seen a bad hockey game in my life that I can think of. We’re hooked right now on NHL 2001 and it delivers. I’ll have to get a newer version soon if all goes right. Also, WWE SmackDown Just Bring It is horrible and this is coming from a wrestling fan. On other note in the video game department, we’re still huge into Animal Crossing. This is a game that may or may not have a real ending, but it consumes you (“Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, it CONSUMES you!”) like no other. Don’t knock it until you play it.

Viva La Bam returned on Sunday and that is always great to see. A new time this year, 10:30 PM EST. The opening episode of the new season had Ape and Phil taking a trip to Europe for their anniversary. It was originally supposed to be a private trip, without the kids. But we all know that Bam and his band of misfits had to go and wreck the anniversary. Don Vito makes this show though. You gotta love the subtitles they give him when he attempts to talk. Next Sunday is Part 2 of the Euro Trip. Bam and the boys are going all over the country to find different types of food to cook for the anniversary dinner. That should definitely end up in a mess.

All of this rap beef is back and getting larger than life. It’s probably not good in the long run, but for the average rap fan like myself, I eat it up. I’m sure a lot of it is just built up to get some publicity and I can understand that, but who knows how much. First, on my favorite 50 song on his new CD, Piggy Bank, he calls out Fat Joe and Jadakiss to name a few due to their involvement with Ja Rule in New York, New York. 50 then goes on 106 & Park and says that the other guys are just talk and nobody will do a thing. Who’s to say some little punk won’t take those words to heart? Anyways, this week Fat Joe unveils a new video that supposedly trashes 50. The BET preview has Joe saying that he backs down from nobody and we’re about to see a real massacre. Then, in news straight from rap mogul Cork, he gives me this bit of info from the legendary Sway Dizzle. Apparently, and I don’t know the details, The Game was asked on the radio if he has 50’s back in this war of words. Game then says that he’s not going to do that since he actually likes the guys that 50 is bashing. 50 then gets on Hot 97 and fires The Game on air. Interesting. Cork could weigh in with more since he saw the news break, but this is great. The question I want to know is where Dr. Dre sides on this. I’ll root for his side whatever way that goes. Like this is a basketball game or something, heh.

Big Elm ball is in full effect. Playing ball a few times a week doesn’t get much better. We’ve had some good competition and things have been getting better by the week.

Any new CDs? Just a few, so I’ll note those:

Bushwick Bill: Phanton Of The Rapra. This is a 1995 release by the hard spittin’ midget from the Geto Boys. Sounds weird if you’re not a Geto Boys fan, but get any of their stuff if you like some seriously mean rap. This is a small CD of 12 tracks and it’s not that long, but it’s still pretty good.

Pastor Troy: Face Off Part II. I’m disappointed in this one and I’m usually a real big Pastor Troy fan. He wasn’t as rough as he normally is. Usually he just screams and yells and really gets into it, but he switches things up in this one. On one listen through it so far, it didn’t impress me, but maybe it’ll grow on me.

I won’t say a lot on RAW this week. I do want to touch on some crowd chants though. To make a long story short and it’s all over the net now, Matt Hardy and Lita split up after 4 years of being together. What went down? Matt’s boy (or so he thought) hooked up with Lita while Matt was still with Lita. Confusing yet? Anyways, Matt dogged her and called it quits. When something like this happens, wrestling fans pick right up on it. At Raleigh, North Carolina this week, Edge and Lita got hounded something awful and I thought it was funny. Chants of them wanting Matt, chants of how they screwed Matt, etc. You get the idea.

I rushed the end of this, but I wanted to get it out before I was over a week since the last post. It’s brutal enough, but they all can’t be perfect.

3 Quick Thangs:

1. I’m sure I’ve ranted on this before, but lose the makeup girls. A very little bit is ok, but why crank it on there like a clown? I’m pretty simple. Give me a chick in a big pair of sweat pants and something normal and no makeup any day of the week.

2. If you haven’t tuned in to see BET’s College Hill yet, you are seriously missing out. Some straight up true drama here. It’s worth the price of admission. Thursday nights at 9:00 PM EST and reruns on Saturday night/Sunday morning at 2:30 AM EST. Thug life.

3. Chris Leben is back on The Ultimate Fighter!

The Ides Of March

My sleep schedule is messed up as everyone knows, but I had a good one going into this past weekend. Wednesday night I go to bed at 1:00 and take a chance that I don’t have to work in the morning due to snow. Thankfully, I hit that one right and woke up around 10:30 or so. Thursday night and we’re getting more snow, even more than the night before. Again, I take a chance and stay up till about 1:30. Doh! The plan backfired on me and I had to wake up at 6:00. Not good times there. The day was good, but I was in a coma at work most of that day. I get a nap on Friday evening from 4:00-6:00. After that, I battle in MVP Baseball 2005 for most of the early night, then I get on here. I’m on here till 7:15 AM and figure I better get to sleep. I had a haircut on Saturday at 11:00, so I set my alarm for 10:30. I come home and then sleep from 12:30-5:00. Saturday night/early Sunday morning rolls around and I get to bed at 7:00. I set my alarm for 1:00 so I can go workout and take care of some business the rest of the day. Then Sunday night, I didn’t get called for a job on Monday so I took a chance of not getting called in the morning. The morning calls are the absolute worst. Sweet, no morning call and I end up wake up around 10:30 to start the week off hot. Yes, I'm an insomniac.

I know you’re dying to know how the latest trip to the barber went. It was worth the price of admission as usual. When I go in, for the locals, Pat Belcastro was in there. Pat always has some good stories so I had to get caught up with him. Also, we messed with our barber for having a candle in the shop. Started calling him feminine and of course that got him fired up. Yeah, I use candles too, but I don’t get all fired up about it like my barber would, so that’s the fun of it. He wasn’t throwing around f-bombs like a madman today, so that was rare. Then as I got my haircut, Jeff Swiger rolls in and has some good ones to tell as well. You could just hang out there all day and get the town gossip. We all got the high school basketball chat going, so that’s never a bad thing. No chick stories or Johnny cussing people, but it’s something different everytime in there.

I got a few new CDs the other day, so time to give a little update on those.

50 Cent: The Massacre. This one features 22 tracks and I’m into this one a lot after first listen. A lot of different producers on these songs. Of course Dre is producing some, but not as many as I’d like to see. I’d say my favorite tracks early on are Piggy Bank and A Baltimore Love Thing.

Ghetto Mafia: Da Return Of Ghetto Mafia. It took a while, but the crew of Decatur, Georgia is back in action. One of the boys was in jail for a while, so the team was just hanging out. Check this one out if you’re into some mean gangsta rap. These guys bring it.

TRU: The Truth. This is Master P and his boys. I haven’t listened to this one yet to give an opinion, but I would think it should be halfway decent. If you’ve heard one Master P song, you’ve heard them all. But I’ve always liked him a lot, so he just keeps growing on me. Plus, his clothing line (P. Miller) is worth buying if you like that type of gear.

On the wrestling tape collection, to the dismay of many, I’m getting rid of the majority of my stuff. It hurts to do it, but it would’ve taken forever to put that on my computer with as much as I have. I’ll save the important things, but the collection will be cut way back. Last night was the first RAW I haven’t taped since the summer of 1998. See how quick a collection can grow? I’d sell them, but that’d be a crazy amount to ship and have to worry about, so I’m just junking them. I’ll build my DVD wrestling collection up soon enough. I am however saving all of my ECW tapes, as those are my pride and glory. I’ll have other things saved too, but no point of having every single thing kept. All that work for nothing? Nah. I loved them forever, but it’s time to go with the tapes. Don’t let that think that my wrestling passion is gone, because it’s the same as ever. As I type this up, I’ve already gotten rid of 6 full garbage bags of tapes. Yes, you read that right. And I still have a ton to trash.

Which brings us straight to RAW this week. Considering I didn’t tape it this week, I won’t do a screaming JR report at the end of my wrestling chat. We have a good bit to talk about though, so buckle your seatbelts. Triple H comes out to start the show, cutting a great promo in my opinion. HHH can work the mic as good as anyone and he began by saying that Batista is a boy and that he’s not afraid of him. Later in the show, Batista comes out in an interview with JR and HHH and Flair interrupt. They both jump in the ring to attack him, but Batista busts up Flair. HHH then plays the scared heel role and backs off, which I think is big in getting this storyline over even more. Muhammad Hussan is still a bum who is getting pushed way too fast. Mmm.. anytime Trish Stratus is on TV, it’s good times. Our main event straight up delivered. Edge faced HBK in a Street Fight. These guys took some pretty good bumps too and HBK sliced his head open way too far and you can guess that it was bad, but it made for good TV. They brought out a ladder and made use of that. HBK was still part of my favorite Ladder Match of all time, when he faced off with Razor Ramon at WrestleMania X. Edge sets up for some Sweet Chin Music, but HBK counters with a Spear, each doing the other dude’s move. Nice show here.

We have some major developings with WrestleMania XXI. This week on RAW, Orton talked to Superstar Billy Graham and listed to Superstar’s advice for Orton to make a difference this year. Orton was reading a new mag with Undertaker on it and thought of an idea, so it looks like we’ll have that match for Mania. Jericho also announced a 6-Man Ladder Match, sweet! Also, Piper’s Pit returns at Mania and who is the guest? None other than Stone Cold Steve Austin. Sure, he can’t wrestle anymore (I’m sure he could if he really wanted to), but he’ll draw viewers in as he was part of the WWE’s strongest era ever arguably. Then, they announced that Hogan would be part of the Hall of Fame induction the night before for whatever that’s worth.

MVP Baseball 2005 is a great game, but it’s tough. There is such a huge difference between playing on Rookie and Pro that is amazes me. Rookie is crazy easy and that makes things no fun to me. Pro is so tough (for me at least) to get consistent offense going. I can pitch like a madman, but it does no good if you can’t get runs to support it. At least it’s challenging though and it’s worth the price of a $30 admission.

I’m going to end on that note as I watch the big snow continue to come down. I had a delay on Friday and haven’t worked since. Not too shabby. And to clear things up to That’s Me, something to which we joked around with already, but I’ll mention again. On the thong issue in the last Blog, there’s a difference between a huge chick and a big chick. I said I can handle a good thick chick, but just don’t want someone like 300 pounds wearing slutty clothes.

Oh yeah, my real ending now..
