On Saturday I went to Boone County with Cork for Posey’s wedding. Boone County is in the southern part of West Virginia for those not following along at home and it’s basically straight up in the middle of nowhere. I’ve always wanted to check out the area since I’ve heard all kinds of stories. The trip was 2½ hours away and it made for a good road trip. Of course on the way down, me and Cork had to fire up some rap music. What’d we use for the ride? Some older Trick Daddy, Young Buck, Warren G, and Westside Connection. I’m probably missing a CD in there somewhere, but it was a good selection. And is there a dirtier, more thuggish acting or looking rapper than Trick Daddy? He doesn’t even have to act the part. He cracks me up good. You also can’t go wrong with his songs about or with the kids.
The town itself is a little place called Madison. This is some laid back southern living. I liked the setup a lot. The wedding itself was a nice turnout and everything went great. What I enjoyed the best was the food though. By far the best wedding food I’ve ever had. A few weeks ago, me and Cork hit up this rich boy wedding and the food was horrendous. Forget that catering stuff. How do they do it in the South? Well, South WV anyways, but it still feels like the Dirty South to me with how friendly everybody is and how it’s aid back. They loaded us up with some good home cooked food. Ham, turkey, roast beef, mashed potatoes, Lil Smokies in some kind of sauce (these ruled all mankind), pasta salad, regular salad, rolls, baked beans, mac n cheese, and a ton of other things. Also at the reception, me and another dude got the honor of tearing up Posey’s car. They gave us some shaving cream and hair color to spray all over the car. They thought we’d just spray the windows, but since me and the dude helping me never done that before, we just went all out. I sprayed all over the car, he got the cream everywhere (all over the tires, windows, door handles, etc), and this last one was real interesting to me. Some of the older guys told us to stuff cheese up the exhaust pipe. They said it works great. We didn’t have a clue if they were messing with us since we were from up North, but we took their word from it. Hopefully it didn’t mess anything up in Posey’s car.
I didn’t miss The Bachelor this week. It’s getting heated on this show now. Jayne, who has been my favorite all along, finally flips out during a slumber party. She gets jealous when she sees Byron all over other chicks and doing stuff with them. What does she expect? Later in the show, Jayne freaks out at night and runs to Byron’s room to whine. The chicks aren’t allowed to stay the night in his room, so she had to show her face to the other chicks who were trashing her. That’s really about the only meaningful storyline this week. We’re down to the Final Four. Who got sent home packing with the pimp slap on the way out? Andrea and Jayne are now sitting at home, typing up Blogs as we speak, single still. Just like the rest of us, with their right hand as their boyfriend/girlfriend.
Notre Dame was off this week, so not much I was really concerned with when it came to college football. My Bears are on national TV tonight actually, which is a scary thought, taking on the just-as-hapless Niners. The TV producers must’ve been smoking some good crack when they scheduled a Niners/Bears game for their Sunday Night Game of the Week. Hopefully the Bears don’t embarrass all of their fans (are there any left?) as other football maniacs make us a laughingstock. The week after this we go on the road to the Giants to battle the G-G-G-G-G-G-Men and then the following week it’s at Tennessee. The week after that? Against the Colts. Ouch. Big ouch for a few weeks at least.
I have a bigger report to write next time just on the EDDFL, which is our fantasy NBA league that we’ve been running for years. The non-basketball fans won’t care, but you’ll just have to deal with that for now I guess. Today’s post is going to be a mini version and then I’ll gear up for the EDDFL preview to prepare us for Opening Night of the NBA on Tuesday. I hope to have some pictures up of our league as well, but I’ll see what I can do. Until then, I’ll talk to you guys soon.
Welcome to my little place. Hopefully you like my posts about anything and everything, just a bunch of total randomness. 2004 was when this place started up. Drop me some comments, it's much appreciated. Chat with you guys soon.

Jericho With A Lionsault!
Time for some Viva La Bam. The first episode of the new season (about time) was on Sunday night. It was worth the wait as the show delivered as usual. The theme of this show was a “Snakerun Driveway” that Bam was building at his house. This is when you get some items donated from famous people to line up around the driveway. He got a watch from Jack Osbourne, a belt from Dave Grohl or Navarro (I always confuse those two guys for some reason), drums from Tommy Lee, a hat signed by the Neptunes, golf balls used by Adam Sandler, and a little black book signed by Hugh Hefner. Don Vito was at his best. They found their way to the Playboy Mansion and the gates were locked for security purpose. Someone inside the mansion talks through the speaker and then Don Vito starts screaming like crazy at it. The boys then have to call Bam to get over there to settle Vito down so he won’t go to jail and they eventually get in. They tie Vito up to a wheelchair so he won’t do anything crazy at the mansion though. You can’t go wrong with Vito screaming and yelling.
Of course I have to talk about the A#BA Draft representing #basketball. I’m happy with my team and the draft process went great. We have a 20-man league and draft on mIRC. We each keep 5 players from the year before. Who are my keepers?
Antoine Walker: My favorite player, now a member of the Hawks. I look for him to get his stats of old back as he really has no help on this hapless team. He’ll sure to be gunning it up and that should good news for the Memphis Sounds. By the way, the Memphis Sounds is my team name in this league, as we use defunct ABA team names.
Kirk Hinrich: Last year he was an impressive rookie for the Bulls. A rare whitey point guard in today’s game, he gets it done. Playing with the Baby Bulls, they have some growing up to do in terms of age, but Hinrich seems to be mature already.
Corey Maggette: One of three of my multiple position players in my keepers, which is something I like going after each season. Maggette should average more than 20 points a game this year, along with teammate Elton Brand for the Clippers. I’m sure the Clips will suck as usual, but it doesn’t matter how good a team is in real life to how the players do on your fantasy team. Maggette is ready to show his guns this year.
Marquis Daniels: A relatively unknown for the first half of last season. Then he blew up, throwing up near triple doubles and things of the like somehow. If he can play like he did at the end of last season, I’m gambling here and really like this kid in the future.
Kurt Thomas: My last keeper and grandpa of the team at 32 years old. He’s declining, but he does play center and forward in this league, so I kept him. I’m sure he’ll suck it up this year though, but I’ll take my chances and probably get rid of him in the offseason.
Who did I draft? I went crazy young as usual. It’s fun to do and hopefully it works just fine. I first took Gerald Wallace, a 22-year old forward for the Bobcats. He’s a dunking machine and rode pine for Sacramento, but now will be a focus part of the expansion squad. My next pick was 21-year old rookie of the Hawks, guard/forward Josh Childress. Someone has to do something in Atlanta other than Walker and Big Al, so I’ll roll with the man with the fro. My third pick is Rafael Araujo, another rookie, this one a 24-year old. He’s a big whitey center for the Raps who should get minutes, so I like this pick here for when Thomas sucks it up. Up next is The Drobber! Yep, Peja Drobnjak, a 29-year old center for the Hawks. I have three Hawks, fear em! How about this next name? Zaza Pachulia. I have some hope here after his trade from Orlando. Another center here. To end my draft, I go with The Nad, Nenad Krstic, a forward/center of the Nets, who is 21. Oh yeah, Zaza is only 20. I went the young dude/foreign invasion combo and hopefully it holds off.
RAW last night? Fo rizzle. I won’t run down what happened there, but I will of course let you know what JR thought of the chaos:
What went down on Real World this week? It basically revolved around one storyline. Landon and Vonda are trying to get all over each other. It’s going good and then they go clubbin R-Kelly style, till 6:00 in the morn’. This is where Landon changes or so everyone else says. He gets all crunk and drunk (that rhymed, not bad) and turns into a punk. Yeah, I must be bored that have just typed that sentence. Anyways, this turns Vonda against Landon. He is wanting some bad and Vonda tells the other people in the house, “I just want to see him score. Because he ain’t getting any from me. Oh no no no no!” Yeah right, we know what’s going to happen there. In another happening, Mel calls her man back home and says that she hangs at a bar that nobody else goes to in the house just to get away. She won’t tell the house where it’s at because it’s her own little secret. She gets all trashed and also is annoying. I must be missing the boat with drunk chicks. I’ll save those for you guys if you’re into that, but cross em off my list totally. Next week, Landon’s ex chick of 7 years stops by and he breaks down and cries like a little baby because she’s changed since they broke up. Cry me a rivahhhhh! CT needs to roll up in this house and get up in Landon’s grill to scare him to death. Here’s how Susie breaks it down:
“Sara is a slut, MJ doesnt know what he wants, Landon is an ass, Karamo is a dram king, Wille is the only real one, The black chick--wants her b/f plus Landon.... The other Chick is just Fucked!”
I couldn’t have said it any better myself. If you’re into the CD List thing, check out Cork’s new Blog (http://corkzilla.blogspot.com/) where he has all of his CDs up as well. He has more of a variety, especially with some rock stuff, as mine are mostly rap. He counted up that 75% of his are burnt CDs. Mine I’m guessing is at least 90%, but I’ll count that soon. We're sick creatures. Up next this week? Saturday is Posey’s wedding and Sunday is the EDDFL Draft, nuff said.

Triple H trying to get the hell out of here! Triple H is begging for his life! His professional life here! Randy Orton, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho and Maven! The fans are all standing! Four men have been screwed. Oh my God! The German! The Wolverine with a German Suplex! Benoit Suplexing the hell out of the World Champion! Jericho with a Lionsault! Jericho with a Lionsault! Evolution wanted to bully their way through this program. It is chaotic here tonight! The fans are chanting and stomping their feet! Triple H has been picked up. RKO! Orton just RKOed the World Champion! My God what an impact! Orton has let Jericho, Benoit, and Maven.. Randy Orton may have been screwed of the World Title, but Orton has started a locker room revolt in neutralizing the almighty Evolution!

Kenny Blankenship's Painful Eliminations Of The Day!
To borrow a repeated quote from the show, Most Extreme Elimination Challenge on Spike TV, that is my title for the day..
A note to everybody out there. Go see Team America: World Police as soon as possible. I made the trek on Friday night with Cork, Spank, and Spank’s girl Alicia. I was literally in tears in some sections of the movie because we were laughing so hard. It’s not a movie you want to take the family with because it’s really bad, but it’s hilarious. I want to go back already and see it again. I’m telling you, I know it looks weird on previews, but this movie is worth the price of admission and then some.
A little thing about the trip to the movie theater. We stroll to Tygart Valley Cinemas in scenic Fairmont. I don’t drive a lot usually, but I told my buddies I’d drive and they were cool with it. I may have scared them enough that I won’t have to drive for a while, but that’s ok with me. How’s that you ask? First off, I’m by far the worst parker there is. Normally when I go to Wal-Mart or the like, I park in a spot where my car is pulling directly out so I won’t have to back it out. Well, I pull into the first spot I see last night and in front of me was I forget what kind of car, but it had a wheel on the back of it wrapped up like on a SUV. You know what I’m getting at. Anyways, this chick was getting out of this vehicle and I’m about to park, but I hit the wheel of the car. I didn’t even know I hit it until my buddies said to back up because I hit the chick’s thing. So I back up a tad, get out of the car and the chick didn’t say a thing. Hmm.. it didn’t do anything to the cars. Maybe she thought I was some crazy drunk who hit her car and was afraid to say anything? My buddies cracked up good at that though. Afterwards, the chick left before me, and I didn’t have to back out, yay! I made it home safely.
I shouldn’t be this way, but football around this time of year can S*CK IT as DX would say, a la the pic yesterday. Now that NBA is just about here, well it actually is here counting preseason, and the World Series happening, football officially takes a backseat. Sure, I’ll keep up with football as much as usual, but I won’t set my clock by it or make my life dependent on it like I do for NBA. Notre Dame is 5-3 now, will get a bowl, but nothing major will go down. They still have to play Tennessee and USC both on the road. As far as my Bears go, they were done before the season even started and with Dr. Jonathan Quinn Medicine Quarterback under center, it’s even worse times.
Bam tonight! Yep, that’s right. The new season, as stated here a few days ago, begins on the Sunday Stew at 10:00. I’ve been watching all kinds of Bam marathons on MTV and MTV2 over the past week. I can watch these and never get tired of it. It’s tough for me to pick a favorite episode, but now my Sunday nights won’t be as boring. No WildBoyz this year, but oh well. Those guys went down fighting.
Time yet again to organize my CDs. This is rough work for sure and only Cork really knows how tough this is on us. We put them all in alphabetical order so we know exactly where to find our stuff when needed again. I’d freak out if things weren’t organized anyways, so it’s just out of habit. But with the setup we have and as many CDs as we download on a regular basis, we’re always having to clean out or CDs and organize again. Right now I’m up to 457 CDs and Cork is in the 500 Club due to having the rock music on lock, so props to him on that. Sad that a good 95% of my CDs are burnt ones, but what can you do.
I made a pretty mean sandwich combination earlier. This one featured two slices of provolone cheese, 2 slices of hard salami, turkey breast, black pepper, Italian dressing, Frank’s Red Hot sauce, spicy mustard, and green olives on wheat bread. And this was at 1:30 in the morning. Some people say not to eat late at night, but I go against that theory. Might as well load up big. What do I have to lose anyways?
A few real quick thoughts on the World Series Game 1? Julian Tavarez is a punk and I hope he breaks his hand again. Also, Kelly Clarkson sang America The Beautiful in the 7th inning. I admit, I’m big on her. No, not the singing. I could care less about that, but her looks. I know she’s all plain and nothing too crazy, but something about her definitely does it for me. At least #basketball’s own Kris3 agrees with me. Many else might not, but oh well, I said it.
Up next for your words of wisdom will be the A#BA Draft Day happenings, RAW thoughts, countdown to next Sunday’s EDDFL Draft, Posey’s wedding, another Bears loss, and I’m sure I’ll figure out something else to bore you with. One.

But how the fuck my family gone eat off in this game
It feel like I'm to goddamn deep off in this game
And I can't even get no sleep off in this game

Trick Luv Da Kids
How about The Bachelor this week? Game 7 of the Yanks game was on at the same time as this was rolling. I pop in a tape and then watch the baseball game instead, thinking I’ll watch The Bachelor after the game. 10:00 rolls around and I hit the stop button. Just to be safe, I checked the tape to make sure it all taped and doh! I taped the wrong channel. I’ve done this a million times before, but screwed it up on something I wanted to watch.
Good thing for Meggie though. She filled me in on the drama that I missed. We’re down to six after this week came to a finish. Krysta is gone! The porn slut is now off the show. At least she added some excitement for a few weeks, but I still wasn’t big on her at all. Also, our favorite, Jayne got fired up this week. Or as Michael Irvin and the boys would say on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown, “You just got JACKED UP!” Apparently, Bachelor Boy took Amy out on a private date and Jayne flipped. Next week I’ll get back on track though. I need slapped for missing it.
It was time for yet another haircut appointment. This one was pretty good. I got to talking with my barber on Game 7 of the Yankees game (got my haircut on the day of). He was talking about betting on the game and busts this quote out: “I’d lay a fuckin $1000 on the Yankees tonight. They have to win this fuckin game. Then again, if I would bet $1000 on this game, and they somehow lost, I’d have to fuckin kill myself.” Another topic that got started was about guys wizzing all over the toilets when they go in. His theory on his bathroom? This 7-year old kid was there with his Dad and he told the kid to stand as close as he could to the pot so it wouldn’t go everywhere. He says this one guy who comes in, he actually makes him sit down and do it because he’s tired of wizz going all over the place in his bathroom. To hear him tell it is great, because f-bombs are flying every other word, even with the little kid around.
Not a whole lot I can say on the Sox/Yanks series other than what is being said everywhere. Props to the Sox though. I got a little carried away and had a big Blog thought up of how I’d celebrate, but that didn’t happen. I was going to throw up a classic DeGeneration X pic and tell the Sox I had two words for em. Instead, they tell the Yanks that they have two words for us. And you all know those two famous words. If you don’t, I’ll let DX demonstrate that for you in this pic:
I did get pretty mad during Game 7 though. I can’t deny that one. I was saying how I wanted to bash in my TV for good measurement. I’m sure I’ve talked about this one before, but if not, it’s a fun story to bring up. While teaching beside the infamous Petey I earlier this week, he brings up a story about my Grandpa and uncles shooting out TVs after Yankees losses. My favorite story through the family is in the 1950 World Series when the Pirates beat the Yanks in Game 7 with Bill Mazeroski’s “walk-off” (so ghey!) home run. That was one of the TV shooting incidents. I wish I could’ve been there to see some of that action in those days.
I just got back from treating myself to some great Chinese food. I like hitting it up after a week of work, so today I did just that. I haven’t had to pay the dinner price for a while. Maybe I’ve established myself as a regular here, but I can’t complain about that. I go with my usual from the buffet today. General Tso’s Chicken (I already want more and I just got done eating), Pineapple Chicken, Pork Fried Rice (mmm mmm mmm), Cheese Wontons, Chicken & Broccoli, and once that stuff was finished, I load up on some pineapples, jello, and apricots. Chinese places have underrated fruit. I haven’t been to one where the fruit sucked, so I’ll stay true to my word on that one.
Yesterday at “work”, my kids had some time on the computers. They now have every single Nintendo game EVAR loaded up on the school’s network with the ROMs. I was just having fun watching. I didn’t want to bust any heads on the games, so I let them battle it out. They wouldn’t have gotten the computer back if I had loaded up Tecmo Bowl though. It would’ve been on like Donkey Kong. Speaking of which, they played Donkey Kong for a while.
How about today’s work? I had a real small class and that made it easy. I had 5 girls in it when there are normally more people, but all of the guys got sent to ISS the day before for making a teacher cry like a baby. True story. Not to mention, I only had to work the afternoon, woke up at 10:00, go to school at 11:10 and got done at 3:00. Oh yeah, I didn’t have my first class until 1:20, so I got to be a bum while reading SLAM and soaking more NBA knowledge into my thick skull. I have it rough.
Tonight, I’m going to watch the Celtics battle it out against the Nets in preseason action. This will be the first preseason game where I haven’t had to flip between a Yankees playoff game. Once that is over, I believe me and Cork Dizzle are heading out to watch Team America: World Police. I’m pumped to see this, as it’s rated R. They had to delete a few scenes to get it from an NC-17 rating to R and this is little puppets were talking about. More on that to come next time.
Get Ya Mind Correct
What’s up you pimps and playas? Not sure if any are out there, but just in case, I have you covered if I’ve never given you props in my Blog before. The week is starting off great and hopefully will only get better. It’s a jam packed week for me, but the question remains, will I be able to contain myself? I could type all night on Celtics games and fantasy basketball, but I’ll try not to bore you TOO much with that stuff. Besides that, we have much more action to discuss, so away we go.
I had a Blog ready to go, but the Yankees game last night spoiled things. Hopefully we can win tonight, so I can put a pic that I’ve been waiting to put up for the Sox guys, but stranger things have happened. How about the last two games though? Unbelievable stuff for sure. The fans are getting their money’s worth in this playoff series, as last night’s game was 6 hours long in a 14-inning slugfest, with the Sox winning to bring the series to 3-2 in favor of the Boys From The Bronx. The night before? They only went a depressing 12 innings, in which Boston won again. The last two games (if necessary for Game 7) are held at Yankee Stadium. We’ll see how the tide turns. And on a similar note, me and Cork hit up a 15-inning game last year at PNC Park that featured the Play of the Year in Brian Giles making a video game catch not far down from us and the place goes buckwild. It was awesome being at a game that long though. Most people want to leave early, but not me.
RAW happenings this week. First off, this show was solid. It built up for Taboo Tuesday, which was only a day away from RAW’s show. Actually, it’s going on right now as I type this. Two matches I’ll touch on and that’s it, but don’t let that fool you into this being a bad show, because as I said, it was solid. We had Evolution taking on Jericho and Orton. Evolution minus Triple H that is. Give me a Flair match every week until he’s 80 years old. Flair locks on the Figure Four and makes YJ2 tap. Tap boy! Tap! Our main event featured a Triple Threat Match with HBK, Edge, and Benoit. This was a good match with no interference. Imagine that in today’s wrestling world. Edge rolls up Benoit and holds onto the ropes for a cheap win, but still a win. How does Good Ol’ JR respond to this? Let’s go to the footage:
Edge counters! Edge has got the tights! Edge has got the tights! And Edge wins it! Well folks, that doesn’t mean that he’s going to get the opportunity. The opportunity to meet the World Champion comes by your votes. Are you going to vote for Edge? Are you going to vote for Shawn Michaels? Are you going to vote for Chris Benoit? The polls are open now! And they’ll be open right up until Taboo Tuesday King. The Game will meet one of the three men you seen in this hellacious battle. Will Triple H defend the World Title against HBK? Against Chris Benoit? Or will it be against Edge? Tomorrow night, 8:00 Eastern, 5:00 Pacific! You fans determine the fate of Taboo Tuesday! From start to finish, which one of these three will meet that man, Triple H, for the World Heavyweight Title? Tomorrow night at Taboo Tuesday? Your vote counts! Don’t forget to vote! We’ll see ya tomorrow night on Pay Per View!
Real World this week? We’re getting more storylines. Some good, some awful. I’m jealous about something in the house though. Sure, the house is a mansion basically and has anything you can imagine, but they have a Street Fighter 2 tabletop arcade. Whoa! Cork had a chance to buy a SF2 arcade last Christmas time for around $300 and didn’t. We should’ve jumped all over that, but the moral of the story is that we’re idiots as usual. Can you really put a price on that? One of these days I’ll have one. I’m not sure how I’d get it upstairs in my part of the house though. Anyways, the Gay America starts happening again. Karamo is worried about what people think of him being gay, but he’s finally opening up and gets with this thug fitness dude named Dorian. He first said he was done with relationships until he got back home, but that didn’t last long. The other thing we have going on is that everyone in the house is hating Melanie, and for good reason. She needs a dose of Sweet Chin Music about as much as anyone. I’m getting mad typing about her, so I’m going to stop with that ball of drama. Next week we might have some action though. Landon turns into CT and Big Brad and goes nuts when he gets drunk. Let’s hope he gets out of control like those two and brings some entertainment.
A few quick CD notes. One you definitely need to get and one you should never lay your hands on. The first is Mos Def’s new one, The New Danger. It really is dangerous. In a very very bad way. I expected some good flow out of Mos Def, but this one features a bunch of guitars (a big no-no in rap music for me) and weird beats. The other is an older one from Paul Wall, Get Ya Mind Correct. If you’re into the Texas rap scene, you need to hit up on some Paul Wall.
Time for some plugs, since I haven’t done that in a while. Also, because I haven’t put a thing in here that just displays them all on the side of my Blog. One of these days I’ll be smart enough to do that one hopefully. Here’s a list of my Blog buddies:

Only 125 Calories? Brilliant!
I did pretty good on Friday night. Or maybe I shouldn’t be proud of this, but whatever. I rolled to bed at 7:30 AM on Saturday morning and woke up at 2:30. The bad part is that I think I was online from about 9:00 on all the way through 7:30. And before that, I was on most of the afternoon before taking a break to pick up some food and get a shower. I’ve been too addicted to the internet for years now, so why give it up. I’m a freak, but I wouldn’t be doing much else on a Friday night around here. Hopefully we start playing ball soon though as I’m definitely ready. That’s as good as it gets for a Friday night.
Saturday night at midnight and a NBA game is happening. Does it get much better than that? That guarantees basketball to be on live until around 2:30 or so at least. It’s the Rockets taking on the Kings in China. This just puts some crazy energy into me as it’s time for what makes my life revolve, basketball. I’ve been able to watch all three of the Celtics preseason games so far. Not many guys out there are hardcore NBA fans in the regular season, let alone watching preseason battles. This may be the only time you get to see the true scrubs of your team get decent minutes.
19-8! What in the world happened there? That’s the Yankees/Sox Game 3 score for those who are living under a rock. The Sox got flat out embarrassed in this one. I think it stems from Curt Schilling’s comments before the series started about how he was going to shut up the Yankee Stadium crowd. Also, we’ve gotten momentum from Pedro’s classic line and after tonight was over, not only are the Yankees Pedro’s Daddy, but Hideki Matsui is Boston’s Daddy. This guy has been unreal, yet all season long he goes under the radar. I’m sure it’s because he’s not a flamboyant player or that he has bigger “names” around him in the lineup, but he’s been our most consistent hitter this season. His fielding sucks, but his batting more than makes up for it. At least he’s not Manny Ramirez, who I like a lot actually, but Manny is pretty much the Yankees’ 10th fielder. He’s helped us out many times, with his bad glove, or his pantywaist arm. Inside the box though as a hitter, he’s a machine and gets my vote for MVP this season.
Next Sunday, Bam finally returns. It seems like forever since the last season ended. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, it’s Viva La Bam on MTV’s Sunday Stew. Is there no WildBoyz this year? That kind of bugs me if they don’t bring that show back, but at least we get Bam, which never fails to disappoint. Some of the previews for this season look really good. If you haven’t seen it before, check it out on Sunday nights at 10:00. I’m sure with MTV, they’ll replay it 289 times through the week, but no biggie there. Just give me more Don Vito please.
In a quick video game note, not that anyone cares, but I’m talking about it anyways. My character in Tiger Woods 2005 is built up to the fullest. He’s all roided up and crushing through the competition. Needless to say, it was easy when I first started, but now you can crush like 400 yard drives. Unrealistic, but still a game I’m playing a bunch that never gets old. Last night, me and my boy Spank busted out some Super Nintendo action. We battled in such classics as Nolan Ryan Baseball, Joe & Mac, and F-Zero. The Super might be my favorite system ever. The regular is in a class by itself of course, but the Super had a very strong collection of games. Then we unhooked that to get our GameCube on. Any recommendations to what game I should get next? I’m not sure how soon I’ll get one though, but I am thinking about it. I don’t think I’m going to get Live this year, but have heard good reviews about it. NHL 2005? Paper Mario? Laugh all you want on Paper Mario, but it’s getting some mad props out there. Don’t believe me, check yourself fool. Or as Ice Cube would say, check yourself before you wreck yourself.
I was getting buff today with one of my uncles and my boy Spank. Always good stories when you’re lifting with other people, so that’s a nice change. Then again, it’s nice to lift alone too so you can get it over with fast, but I switch it up. Call me a chameleon or something. Anyways, Spank figured he’d go heavy on the bench today and I was there if he needed any spotting. He throws up 295 for 7 reps like it’s nothing and then wants to go up. He eventually ends up going to 345 for 2, so that’s pretty mean there. Impressive stuff for sure. Big Cork starts to get all crunk and buff tomorrow, so I’m sure he’ll have some stories on that. I just have to sit back and watch the big dudes tear apart the bench. I do good for a little guy, but I can’t compete with that madness. Pound for pound.
Information I got on WWE Taboo Tuesday. I was hoping it’d be around $20 since it’s not a normal Sunday night Pay Per View. I should’ve known better with the WWE. It’s the full price, $34.95, doh! I doubt I’ll be getting this one, but stranger things have happened. Why can’t they drop the prices on their shows? I get them regardless, but why not something like $25 to switch it up to see if they can get more interest?
Also next Sunday, outside of Viva La Bam, it’s the 2004 A#BA Fantasy Basketball Draft! This will be held in the hallowed halls of mIRC. Does it honestly get much better than that? It’s our 20-man #basketball league and we’ll be rocking it out. We each keep 5 teams over from the previous year and then have 7 remaining rounds of our draft to get a 12-man roster. The guys I retained include: Antoine Walker (my favorite player), Kirk Hinrich, Marquis Daniels, Corey Maggette, and Kurt Thomas. Three of those guys can play multiple positions and that’s big in a league that has nightly lineups. Needless to say, I’m getting all JACKED UP for this epic feat.
Hey Yoni, I don’t have a Blogroll onto my Blog yet. Whenever I do, you’ll get hooked up. But for now, I’ll just have to give you a plug old school style. If you’re into college basketball, this next Blog is for you. Yoni has a TON of links on the side of his Blog and has a great setup for what he has going on. Take a trip and drop some comments for Yoni at: http://collegeball.blogspot.com.
I’m hitting your faces up with some randomness. I think that’s what keeps this thing goes. Sure, a lot don’t like the wrestling chat, some aren’t into sports at all, you could hate the Real World or The Bachelor, might not like the rap talk, but deep down, there’s something that sucks you in. Or maybe I’m just fooling myself to keep writing this beast up on a regular basis. Either way, it’s good times to write this up and I’ll keep doing it as long as I’m having fun. Like it’s a job or something huh?
As usual, thanks to The_Freak for helping out in getting some pics together for the Blog every so often. He finds some good ones.

Don Vito
The weekend is upon us. I can feel the tension upon everyone’s heads right now. I better Cowboy Up, or as The_Freak says I should call it, Bird Up and fill you in on all the happening moments since the last post. I like the ring of Bird Up already, maybe it’ll catch on. I have a 3-day weekend here, so it’s nice to get a long one every so often. The hot weather is just about over and I’m glad of that. Today it got up to 55 degrees and that’s perfect for me. Tonight it’ll be good times with it getting around 40 or so. I can definitely handle that.
I’ll start off with another movie I watched this week. Earlier in the week, I watched The Animal. This time, I load up on Soul Plane. No, I didn’t watch Soul Plane with my kids. This one was for my own personal enjoyment. Going in, I figured it’d be a really cheezy movie. I’m sure it is, but I actually had a good time watching this movie. You can’t go wrong having Snoop Dogg in a prominent role as he just cracks me up without saying a word. On a tangent, check out his latest video, Drop It Like It’s Hot, featuring Pharrell. He busts out his dance moves in this one and it’s funny stuff. A nice beat too. Anyways, Soul Plane had a nice cast of characters other than Snoop such as Method Man, Tom Arnold, Karl Malone (yes, that Karl Malone), DL Hughley, Ying Yang Twins, Lil Jon and the Eastside Boys, Mo’Nique, and John Witherspoon. If you’re not into funny thug movies, you probably wouldn’t like this one, but it’ll have you laughing good. Laughing out loud if you will.
Another topic that some of you know about is Rice Krispies Squares. These I compare to Doritos. You can’t just eat a little bit of these and be satisfied. You turn into a pig and end up eating the whole batch. Anyways, Mom makes me a big pan on Thursday night. Wiped out by myself in one night. Her and Dad are away this weekend, so she made me another pan for the weekend. I told her don’t be doing that because I know that I’ll just go crazy and eat it all up. Yep, that’s just what I did. In less than two days, I ate two big pans of Rice Krispies Squares. Sad, I know, but it’s something I couldn’t pass up. Good thing I have a high metabolism or I’d be in some serious trouble.
As far as baseball goes, the Yanks game got postponed tonight, so that screwed up my Friday. Not like I had anything else planned, but the TV situation was pretty critical without that game. Outside of some scrub college football game they had on, that was about all there was to look at. I won’t be saying I’m bored again on a Friday now that NBA season is right around the corner. Yanks up 2-0, so I feel good about that, but it’s a 7-game series with 3 in a row possibly at Boston. I like our chances, but you can’t get too confident.
Football news? My high school got their 5th win in a row after starting the year out 0-3. We beat ManDingo High this week on the road, so that was a nice win. My team in the playoffs? Playoffs?! As Jim Mora would say. In college news, my Irish (at the time of typing this) play Navy tomorrow at noon. That’s too early for me, so I may miss a bit of that one. The military teams always play us tough for some reason. On Sunday, my hapless Bears play the Skins. We’re actually even up with the Skins in the betting circuit.
Short Blog here, but I’ve been pretty steady, so I’ll be talking to you guys soon.

Meggie Is The Hottest Girl I Know
Props go to my girl Meggie for picking out today's Blog title..
Enough of the politic garbage going on. I keep up with it actually, will vote, but I don’t want my night ruined by yet another debate. If anything it slows down my TV flipping ability, so I guess that’s one good reason. What am I talking about you ask? Wednesday night, I gear up to watch The Bachelor. I got a shower before that and barely had time before the show came on. It’s like I got my shower at the buzzer. A walk-off homerun if you will? Anyways, no Bachelor action for me tonight. Instead, I’m now flipping between two things. That is the Celtics preseason game against the World Champion Pistons (Kasher’s boys) and the Yankees battling the Sox in Game 2 of their duel.
A movie that is a few years old I recently saw. I watched Rob Schneider’s The Animal earlier this week at work. Yes, I get paid to watch comedies. I’m surely not complaining about that statistic. This movie had me cracking up good and the kids were all over it too of course. Most had seen it, but I said I’d watch it as well instead of sitting there being a bum. The chick sort of did it for me in this one too and I’m not big on short haired chicks too often. She must’ve passed the test somehow. Not a knockout, but good to look at. Anyways, Schneider hit this role great I thought. Sandler even has a few appearances in this one, giving a few one liners and having you rolling.
Yes, we have some RAW action to talk about this week. I’ve been cutting you guys a break the past week or two by not loading you up with a crazy amount of wresting news. I’m holding out. It’s like I’m an alcoholic. I want to get that drink (the wrestling news to you) out there, but I hold it in. I’m sure I’ll bore you soon enough with a 5 page report on RAW. For now, I’m hitting the basics for you and definitely JR’s ending, which you all wait for so much.
This RAW was held in Manchester, England. With that happening, it wasn’t a live RAW like we’re used to. The hardcore wrestling fans will definitely remember the days of RAW when it was taped every single week, even during the Monday Night Wars with WCW. You get your Flair dose this week as always. He and Randy Orton cut a great promo on each other. Orton hasn’t gotten as over as the WWE wanted, so now they’re trying to get Flair to rise him back up to stardom. He’ll make him look like a million bucks, even at his age. Last week Flair got heat backstage for saying some edgy stuff, even for wrestling standards. He tells Orton that he’s not a legend such as himself and mentions how he has made so many virgins bleed over the years. Only in wrestling do we get a storyline where a baby dies and the “bad” guy makes jokes about how he’s the baby killer (Snitsky and Kane), to go with how Flair makes virgins bleed.
The main event was great though, as it was a 6-Man Tag Match featuring Evolution going toe-to-toe against Shawn Michaels, Chris Benoit, and Edge. Of the good guy team, one of those three will face Triple H at the new Pay Per View for the title. HBK sits up for some Chin Music, but Edge tags himself in, disrupting it. HHH grabs Edge and goes for the Pedigree in which HBK runs back in and delivers some Chin Music, laying HHH down cold, where Edge takes credit and rolls onto Trips for the win. They each talked afterwards on how they all deserve to fight HHH, in which Edge hits a Spear on both HBK and Benoit. No way does Edge get the shot, but stranger things have happened. Triple Threat Match next week with these three, so that’ll be exciting. What would JR say on this subject?
Does it get much better than Rice Krispies Squares? I’ll probably get myself sick eating this pan all at once. You know what else is good? Welch’s Fruit Snacks. You need to pick these up, no matter what age you are. You may know them as fun fruits? I think you now what I’m talking about, but these are no ordinary fun fruits. Too bad they don’t make an adult portion of these in like extra jumbo size. Speaking of supersize, has anyone seen the movie Super Size Me yet? I’ve been wanting to pick this one up as it can’t be too bad. The dude eats nothing but McDonald’s for a month straight and wonders why it messed him up. Go figure. If I eat it once, I’m feeling bad. Fatty Fat Fatties as Blahah The Great would say.
Let’s talk about Real World here quickly. This week was better than last week. I’ll give them that much. But that’s like saying if someone cuts back on smoking 4 packs of cigs a day to going to only 3 and a half. Improvement is a good thing though. This week didn’t revolve around Gay Pride America. Instead, we got some actual relationships featuring straight people. MJ and Sarah are trying to do their thing. MJ is all over her one second and the next he doesn’t want her in his bed. This gets jealous Sarah stomping off whining and she thinks they should go separate ways. We know they’ll get all porned up together sooner or later, but that’s the drama I guess. Also, we have Shavonda and Landon wanting each other. Vonda is worried that she’s going to cheat on her man, so she wants to take a break. Her man is confused and says either end it or nothing else, because what she wants is to get all over Landon, then come back home after the show is over and act like nothing happened. After dropping a few f-bombs on her man, her man turned the tide and went off on her, then supposedly ends it by hanging up in her face. The next day, they’re talking again. I sure can’t figure this out.
I won’t get on a Yankees binge during this post, but they’re showing the celebs at Game 2 right now, I’ll touch that. One is Matt Damon in his Sox getup. Now after seeing Rounders, everytime I see Damon, his character of Mike McDermott pops into my head. I know he’s a big time actor and has numerous roles, but to me it’s the Zack Morris Effect. He’ll always be Zach Morris and now to me, Damon will always be Mikey McD. As Mikey McD would say himself:
To end things, I want to see Team America: World Police really bad. RAW showed this preview about 8233 times as they do with the few commercials they show. They drill it into your head. I figure it can’t be too bad with the South Park guys making it and the movie is rated R with little cartoon figures cussing like machines. It jokes around with a lot of current event happenings but in a funny way. The previews will have you guys laughing out loud for real I do believe.

That’s huge! That is absolutely huge! What a main event next week! Right here on RAW! Michaels.. Benoit.. and, wait a minute.. wait wait wait uh... OH NO! First Shawn Michaels and now Benoit! I don’t know if deserved is the right word, but what I’d use right now is that Edge has made a huge impact as Shawn Michaels is getting the hell Speared out of him! Then it was Chris Benoit getting Speared! And we know that next Monday night what a main event! Triple Threat! Edge! Shawn Michaels! Benoit! In the ring at the same time! What a statement Edge has made! The Triple Threat Match is going to be huge next Monday night! Live on RAW from Chicago!

You were lookin' for that third three, but you forgot that Professor Green folded on Fourth Street and now you're representing that you have it. The DA made his two pair, but he knows they're no good. Judge Kaplan was trying to squeeze out a diamond flush but he came up short and Mr. Eisen is futilely hoping that his queens are going to stand up. So like I said, the Dean's bet is $20.

"Just Tip My Hat And Call The Yankees My Daddies."
Hola mi amigos. Good ol’ Monday. It’s been treating me good so far and Monday is the thing I most look forward to all week. Of course that is RAW and the great ending broadcast that Jim Ross will scream out to the highest of high levels. You all want to know what down in my exciting weekend huh? Well, not sure how exciting it’ll be for you, but I enjoyed it.
Saturday I didn’t leave the house. Should I be proud of that? Probably not, but I did what needed to be done. I woke up around 1:30, after a whopping 11 hours of sleep. Going to bed at 2:30 on a Friday night is really rare for me, but I blame that one on the sore throat blues and not much sleep during the week as usual. If I get 6 hours of sleep on a work night, I’m dominating. We all know that rarely happens though.
First things first on Saturday. It was Stanford at Notre Dame. Ty Willingham facing his old boys and we needed a win after Purdue thumped us last week. We pulled this one out on Darius Walker’s running ability and ended up winning by the score of 23-15. We’re now sitting at 4-2 with a game at Navy next week, so I’ll take that. The military teams, no matter how bad they are, more often than not play us tough, so hopefully we don’t go in with a bloated ego. Five more games to go for the season with two huge ones left on the board, both on the road, going to Rocky Top Tennessee and USC.
Once 4:30 hit, I didn’t watch a single second of college football after that. Most guys are bigger on football than baseball, but not me. Especially when it comes to playoff baseball. Game 4 of the ALDS, in which Johan Santana went toe to toe with the Yanks. After battling from another deficit in which we were losing, we do what we have all year long. We had 61 come-from-behind wins this year, the most in the history of the game if I’m right on that stat. That’s just sick. Yep, we did it again to dust off the Twins, this time in the 11th inning, 6-5. Out of our 3 wins in this series, two came in extra innings. Fear! The ALCS starts on Tuesday night against Boston in what should be good times. I like our chances, but it won’t be easy. Remember though, we’re Pedro’s Daddy. Hopefully that trend continues.
I won’t rant too much more on sports, but I watched Lima Time go nuts on the Cardinals for one the better playoff pitching performances I’ve seen. Lima Time, belieeeeeeve it! Too bad the Dodgers are down and out, but you can’t blame Lima Time for that one. Also in related baseball news, rest in peace Ken Caminiti, who had a heart attack at the young age of 41. He partied like a rock star over the year, got caught up with steroids and cocaine and now he’s gone. He was a former MVP though, so he has some legacy to carry away with him.
Saturday night at 11:00 I watched a 2-hour special on BET about the pioneers of hip hop and how we came to where we are today in the industry. I eat these shows up and could watch them all day. I put this in the same category as sports trivia. I like to think I’d do pretty well in a rap trivia contest. Not that I win anything for that, but that’s just some random bits of info for you to chew on.
There is a God! NBA is back! Last night I got to watch the opening of preseason action as the Heat took on the Rockets. Most could care less about preseason anything, but I was all hyped for this madness. The studs only play a few quarters, but still it’s good to see how some teams flow. My Celtics open up on Tuesday night and I can’t wait. With the EDDFL and ABA fantasy basketball drafts approaching, October is one of the best months you can ask for.
Get this deal I have setup for today and tomorrow at “work”. I got to play the DCT teacher today. DCT is where the seniors who have most of their credits take classes for half the day and then go off to work and get credit for that. I did this at two different high schools, ManDingo High and my old school as well. Needless to say, that includes some travel. I had a class today from 7:50-9:40, drove home to hang online for about an hour, went to my old school and had another class of seniors, did a half hour of lunch duty, and got to leave school at 1:20. I got paid for being there all day too, so that’s quality. Teaching 6th Grade punks last week to having seniors this week is such a change. With the younger kids, you have to always keep your eye on them and can’t be too much of a bum. In high school, I get to work away on fantasy stats, read some magazines, and just hang out. That’s the joys I get for being a sub I guess. The older kids are way laid back, mind their own business, and relate to me pretty good. A sub for the most part plays the role of a babysitter. With the older kids, I could wander around the school if I had to and not worry about them getting rowdy rowdy and bout it bout it as Master P would say. Who knows. Who knew?
I’ll be sure to hit you guys up with some reading material in the next few days. Until then, I’ll leave you with a classic:

CT The Legend
While jumping on Yahoo Messenger, I got a message from a buddy. One of those stupid forwarded messages that are pointless. In related news, forwarded emails are the worst. What’s the point? They’re just more spam, even if they’re from your buddies, sorry. The offline message I got the other day had me laughing pretty good though. The hardd cracked me up good. Does that make it more gangsta? Like slapping a gangsta chick? Anyways, it went exactly as this and I’ll paste it:
“Tomorrow Is Ass Slappin Thursday .. Don't Be Afraid To Slap Someones Ass .. And If It Is Someone You Like Slap It Twice As Hardd ! Pass This To Everyone On Your List .. And Have Fun Slapping !!!”
Another episode of The Bachelor is in the book. After the show ended, we’re now down to eight sluts, errr.. ladies for next week. I take that back, there’s a few chicks in this bunch that appear you could bring home, but probably not many. One would be Jayne. So far I’m favoring her to win for whatever that’s worth. She’s not playing the dirty game like some of the others are as she’s more respectful and there seems to be really big chemistry here. She was however busting out when they were laying on the bed this week, something she never showed before, so I have to give her a thumbs up for that. Something about the innocent chick who never shows her body and then you see it once and it’s like bam. That gets to me. Then again, I know I’m weird.
The other big date he had this week was with Andrea, the dental hygienist girl. Their date was in this private pimped out plane. Of course, the chick ate it up. They could’ve rode pigs in a pile of slop with this dude and these girls would act like The Bachelor is Big Pimpin. That’s what is great about this show. Why not put a toothless redneck on here? You know they’d be all over him too in order to get some fame. The thing this week was that there was a “mystery date” that Big Byron would go on. Instead of one girl, it was two girls from past seasons, Heather from the 2nd Season and Mary from the 4th. Heather is a 32 year old Texas girl with a country accent. That’s another thing that gets me is accents. So if you’re taking notes at home, work on your accent as I’m big on that. Mary is 36 and I don’t know much about her to be honest. The purpose of this was for the girls already in the house to just go buckwild since we can’t get enough drama. So now it’s on, as the porn level rises a notch as these chicks try to one up another.
You can’t tell I’m into this show can you? Sad, I know, but oh well. Well, it’s time for four chicks to beat the trail. To begin this episode, there were twelve girls (counting the two new dirties) and we go to eight. Who gets the Tally Slap to get sent home this week? Susie, Heather, Amanda, and Kristie. I think our own Susie from Blog comment fame could show this one up anyways. Next week, two more are asked what the five fingers said to the face.. SLAP!
Ugh, Real World Philly is a pile of garbage so far. I’m usually a big fan of this show and if I’m bashing it, something must be bad about it. I just don’t get any flow from this season at all yet. I’ll definitely give it time and even though it’s been rough to get through, I’m watching religiously of course. The past few shows, especially Paris, I could write for days on. How I miss the days of the legendary CT, the greatest Real World character evarrr and I won’t argue that. And does it honestly get any better than two of the rowdiest characters evarrr in the same pic? It sure doesn’t as CT here is seen with Big Bad Brad.
This week revolved around the “drama” between MJ and Karamo. Not much drama here, but MTV makes it out to be that way. Karamo is still crying like a little boy about the race issue last week. So this week MJ is getting his chill on at the bar and some regular bum tosses a stool at him since he’s jealous of him being on Real World. Karamo said he wished the guy would’ve thrown more stools at him. Yet when MJ goes to talk to Karamo man to man, Karamo runs away and think he’s tough guy, when he’s just a wuss. As the first episode showed, I guessed Karamo to be this gangsta thug from the streets, but he’s not at all. I know he’s gay, but still basing first impressions, I expected him to get all up in MJ’s grill and go off like Milton Bradley. If you don’t know who Milton Bradley is, you don’t follow baseball, but he’s a headcase. Lastly, they show their job with the Philly Soul, the Bon Jovi owned arena football team. They’re the PR people who toss shirts, run around town to get interest in the team, and so on. Yay. That was the hardest Real World summary I’ve ever done. Throw me a bone MTV! Just get some crazy drama in here like all the past episodes. Next week MJ and Landon will admit they’re gay probably.
Here’s a good story from “work” yesterday. I was playing Shop teacher and it’s really laid back there anyways. Being West Virginia, I think it’s a rule that all Shop classes let the kids rub snuff as much as they want. Many of the regular classes don’t care either, just as long as they don’t make a mess. For those not in the area or not in a hick region, you probably think that’s wild, but it’s just part of life around here with the kids. Anyways, after the kids did what little work they had assigned, they all jumped on the computers. They weren’t allowed online because the school system is strict on what they can view during the day. I wouldn’t care, but if they’re going to check it, I’d rather not get the kids in trouble. But they found a way around that somewhat. Some kid installed Unreal Tournament all over the school’s network. They have it hidden in certain folders so they can keep it on. A lot of teachers don’t care, but some would go nuts over this I guess. They had all kinds of action going on with their tourneys and it made for a good day of trash talk and killing raids. A few of their character names? John Wayne, Rising Penis, and TheRapist. It was funny when a character would hit a hot streak and a message would pop up on everyone’s monitor saying, “Rising Penis is on a killing spree!” The teacher I subbed for, he played with them one day and they had him rolling when that came on his screen. Yep, this is what I do for work all day long.
I’m not going to run down RAW since it happened on Monday and this is already getting to be a bigger post. But I will do the tradition and let JR end the show for us:
I won’t talk about this much, but the Yanks and Twins are knotted up at one game a piece as I type this up. Johan “Cy Young” Santana got us in Game 1 and he didn’t even have a masterpiece of a game like he normally does. Still, a win is a win and it’s been a good one so far. Then in Game 2, a game that began at 7:00 my time, but didn’t end till nearly midnight, it was madness. Torii Hunter hits a bomb in the Top of the 12th to lead 6-5. A big blow to the Yanks there, but we got one chance to get them back. A-Rod steps up and almost hits one out, but it becomes a double. This scores one run, as a few guys before him got on. This brings up Godzilla himself, Hideki Matsui. Jetahhhhh! Yep, Matsui flies out to short right-centerfield and Jeter tags up from 3rd Base in a close play at the plate, jumping up and doing the Tiger Woods Fist Pump. Say what you want about Jeter, and I hear it all the time, but you couldn’t give me another player in the entire league over him if I were staring a team from scratch. Fantasy wise he’s not going to rock the world, but he’s been our glue for the past decade, a reliable captain, and is all about the intangibles. When it comes to big games, he delivers. I’m not saying he’s the best individual player out there, but when I weigh everything else out, I want him to lead my club over anyone else, bar none. Maybe I’m weird.
I’ll end with some rap talk. Last night I was talking to my girl Jenn Jenn (http://lilraines.blogspot.com/) and she brought up Mike Jones of all people. It took me by surprise at first. I’ve always known Jenn was a big rap fan, but to know Mike Jones? That just doesn’t exist in my area. Is there one single girl in my area who is a true rap fan? Sadly, no. Move up here Jenn, heh. I’m not talking about a fad. Don’t be liking rap for a year like you’ve been part of the game all your life, only to change loyalty the next year to whatever else is hot. Not only does she know Mike Jones, she’s listened to a lot of his stuff. What? No disrespect to the chicks (I guess when you have to say no disrespect, there is disrespect?), but guys around here don’t even know who Mike Jones is. Who? Mike Joooooones!
Since I posted the updated CD List yesterday, I’ve added four new ones to the collection. What are they?
Bizzy Bone: Alpha & Omega
I-20: Self Explanatory
Mobb Deep: The Mixtape Before 9/11
Trick Daddy: Thug Matrimony
Since yesterday, I’ve had a chance to listen to two of these. Mobb Deep’s mixtape features a lot of 2Pac sampled beats. Nate Dogg is also part of this CD, as that is when you know you’ve made it. Some good New York rap here, but I need to get more of their older stuff. The other one I’ve listened to so far was from none other than T Double D, Trick Daddy. He’s been due for a new album and this one delivers as usual. It’s not a masterpiece, but you can’t go wrong putting Trick stuff out there. He’s original and does his own thing.
Yep, this is what I do for work all day long.
I’m not going to run down RAW since it happened on Monday and this is already getting to be a bigger post. But I will do the tradition and let JR end the show for us:
It’s breaking down in New York City! Chaos is right! Randy Orton! Orton! Orton is back! Orton is back! The 24-year old Orton is back! RKO! RKO on Batista! The young stud from St Louis now being hammered by Christian! RKO on Grenier! RKO on Christian! Randy Orton! RKO to the 400 Pounder! Oh Coach! RKO! My God! It’s an RKO Marathon! RKO Mania! Randy Orton who has electrified this crowd here tonight! Orton came back and made one helluva impact! Randy Orton RKO’ing the world! Oh what a night! Good night ladies and gentlemen from Madison Square Garden!
I won’t talk about this much, but the Yanks and Twins are knotted up at one game a piece as I type this up. This Just In... You Suck!
Thanks to Cork Dizzle for picking today's Blog title.
Guess who’s back, back again.. Bird is back, tell a friend. tell a friend, tell a friend, tell a friend..Yep, it’s time to start a new week and we’re into October. There will be a lot to dust off, so let’s get to moving. I won’t go in any certain order here, just to mess with your heads.
I’ll start off with a movie I rented this weekend. I roll down to my local video store and pick up BarberShop 2. I was real big into the first one, so I figure with the same cast returning for the most part, this one couldn’t be bad either. I’ve read a lot of mixed reviews on this one, but I myself loved it. I still prefer the first one, but this one is worth checking out and then some if you’re into that type of thing. I would’ve watched anyways as Cube is one of my favorite rappers of all time, plus long haired Eve is quality times.
Saturday we had my Irish take on Purdue. This has been a rivalry for quite some time. Up until Saturday, Notre Dame had won 14 straight against Purdue in South Bend. This game was at South Bend and we got rocked. Funny thing is, Brady Quinn, our quarterback, throws for an insane amount of yards. He tosses up 430 like it’s his job. No interceptions to go with that. Still, we get beat down hardcore by Heisman candidate Kyle “The Legend Killer” Orton, 41-16. That brings our record to 3-2, not great, but at least we beat Michigan so far. Ty Willingham plays his old boys Stanford, next week, in South Bend. I know I have no bragging rights with my Irish this year, but if one good thing came from Saturday, it was WVU losing to Virginia Tech. If they had a real quarterback, they’d be downright scary. Everything else seems to flow good, but it’s tough going into a season when everyone and their brother is saying you’re not going to lose.
Let us shift to the pro game. Da Bears! I can’t be screaming that this week, as we lose, ugh. We’re a whopping 1-3, but that’s expected. I’m not giving any excuses, because Philly came into our house and got the job done. Philly is crazy good so far, but will they keep it up? We couldn’t keep up with TO who celebrated by doing situps after one of his touchdowns to rub it in our face. Or as 50 would say, “I’ll break yo faaaaace!” Next week we’re guaranteed to not lose. Write it down folks. Yep, it’s our off week, so fear.
I pity the fool who has no mercy! Yep, last night was WWE’s latest Pay Per View, No Mercy, held in New Jersey. Going into the show, I expected a bad overall card and I didn’t even give it much hype in my Blog for a preview. This was a SmackDown production and outside of reading results and watching Velocity, I don’t get to see many SmackDown highlights. Every other town in my area can pick up UPN, but not me. I can’t even pick it up on the satellite either, go figure. That doesn’t stop me from purchasing their PPVs though. What went down? I’m sure you’re dying to know, right?
The opening match starts off with some Eddie Guerrero action. He didn’t have much to work with as he was facing Luther Reigns. Nothing major with this one and Eddie wins with the Frog Splash. Eddie doesn’t deserve to be fighting this guy right now. Or should I say this guy doesn’t deserve to be fighting Eddie, because he can’t hold a candle to Eddie’s ability. Our next match was the Cruiserweight Champion Spike Dudley facing Nunzio, a.k.a. Little Guido. Nice to see the former ECW guys go at it and I’m always a fan of little guy wrestling as you get your money’s worth. Or it’s always funny to watch wrestlers who I’ve hung out with and ate pizza together. With the help of his “brothers”, Spike retains his belt. A good, fast paced match and a good start to this card. If you want fast paced, that’s what you get with the third bout of the night, Billy Kidman against his former buddy Paul London. These guys were doing some crazy flips and that’s always a plus in my book. My kind of wrestling action there. Due to Kidman hurting Chavo Guerrero with the Shooting Star Press (one of my favorite moves of all time; think of a gainer off a diving board onto a person). This was made into a storyline of how Kidman didn’t want to use the move anymore since he would hurt people. The fans then cheered for the move and he started “hearing things in his head” and acting all weird. Thus, during this match, Kidman blows up and hits a Shooting Star for the win and they put London on a stretcher (not legit hurt like Chavo was) and while London was on the stretcher, Kidman busted another picture perfect Star.
The match I was most looking forward to was next, as it was Rene Dupree and Kenzo Suzuki defending their Tag Titles against none other than Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio. Three lightning quick matches in a row? Say it ain’t so! By that, I mean the pace of the match, not in that the match ended very quick. Dupree and Suzuki surprisingly remain the champs here in a great match. Next we have Kurt Angle and Big Show locking horns. What started this? Angle shot Show with a tranquilizer gun. Yes, you read that right. Only in wrestling. To get revenge, Show takes Angle out with a Top Rope Chokeslam. Our next one was the US Title Match of Booker T taking on John Cena in the 5th of the Best of 5 setup. Five Knuckle Shuffle! Cena grabs the gold to be the new man here in this division. Lots of matches huh? Our next to last battle was interesting. It was a 6-Person Tag Match. Dudley Boys and Dawn Marie up against Charlie Haas, Rico, and Jackie. Dawn Marie is just unbelievable. The outfit she had on last night was working real good and in person she looks even better. Rico wins with a Moonsault in what was a nice match, but it was all about Dawn Marie in this one. Main event time, John Bradshaw Layfield putting up his WWE Title versus Undertaker in a Last Ride Match. What’s that? To win, you have to shove your opponent in a hearse and have it drive off. Bradshaw wins with help from John Heidenreich. At the end of the show, Heidenreich takes an old school Ford Bronco and smashes into the hearse with Undertaker in it, but we all know he wasn’t. What a SLOW match. I could’ve done without this match, but oh well. A very good Pay Per View for what I thought would be bad. Thumbs up here with the exception of the main event.
Over the weekend, I was watching some old school Saturday Night Live. They showed one from the glory years with the cast of Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, Norm MacDonald, David Spade, and others. Also, Snoop was the music guest and he looked really young. Nate Dogg, Kurupt, and Daz came along for the ride as backup rappers. That was kind of funny, but it was weird since Snoop had guitars jamming with him. To me, guitars and rap should have no part together. It doesn’t mix.
Tonight I’ll be awaiting the HBK/Christian match on RAW as well as whatever else goes down. Celtics Media Day today! That means that it’s pretty much officially the opening of Training Camp. I’ll be watching preseason games next week and can barely contain myself as I type that as I think of it. Other random things in my head? I’m watching the new N.O.R.E. video featuring Nina Sky. Those chicks definitely do it for me.. You know the drill now. RAW tonight, Real World tomorrow, The Bachelor on Wednesday.. Too much excitement for one guy to handle. I’m sure I’ll manage though. Holla back.

Holla back.

Drama On The Real World
Thanks to Mustang for picking out today's Blog from the mean streets of Michigan. Because she's gangsta like that. w00t!
Are you ready for another fun-filled Blog? This will gear us up for the weekend, in which I was pumped to have 3 days off in a row. I can’t complain about a long weekend. For some reason, my parents roll to the Buckwheat Festival and let me know they’re leaving. This was about 8:15 or so. I didn’t feel like going back to bed, so I hit up some Tiger to get the day going good. I’ll touch bases on Real World, The Bachelor, the Yankees clinching the AL East, new CDs added to my collection, and whatever else I can squeeze in the Madhouse.
Let’s rewind back to Tuesday night. Real World of course goes down then. Last week was very uneventful, as the events then just focused on Big Willie Style bringing the Gay Pride Convention right into their house. This of course brought about the MJ Face as he doesn’t know how to react around gays. More on MJ in a bit, but I’ll talk about something else before that. Vonda goes into this spiel about how her parents used to beat on her. She’s been trying to make it on her own since she was 17 and really doesn’t get much help. Her Dad was supposed to send money to her in Philly, but he ignored it and she had to get money from his Dad’s ex chick and her new man. Sound complicated? I can’t figure out these mixed families anyways. They should have that as a major in college to figure out how that process works.
The main topic surrounding this episode dealt with MJ and Karamo. They were getting all kinds of crunk in the club and ruckus began. Apparently, Karamo has this holster/bling bling thing that the cops noticed and they go up to him and give him a hard time. They cuff him up and he’s pulling the race card. He’s yelling at MJ for help and MJ is getting his mack on with this blonde chick. After it’s all over, Karamo is outside cussing the cops. He then gets MJ to talk and asks him about 347 times if he’s even been asked by the cops if he was carrying a gun. MJ was in a coma and didn’t answer and Karamo kept asking. You can’t beat some good yelling action going on. Then MJ walks off and leaves his buddy (or so Karamo thought so, but not in the way you’re thinking) hanging. I’m still waiting for something big to explode, but it hasn’t been as exciting as I want so far in this season’s happening. Next week they begin their job as they do some work with the Philadelphia Soul football team owned by none other than Bon Jovi.
Wednesday night for The Bachelor. I’ll get you guys watching whether you like it or not. Watch once and it’ll suck you in. This is the first season of The Bachelor that I’ve watched. A new thing was added this week. Before the rose ceremony (where the dude tells a few of the girls to beat the trail and get to stepping), he gets to have two solo dates with whoever he picks. One funny thing I like about this is how this dude can say ANYTHING and the girls eat it up. Even guys who can’t talk a good game would have these chicks all over him because most probably just want the fame. Then again, I’m sure he wants fame too. They all think he’s “the one”. Yet he’s been married once already, so maybe we’re not seeing something on the surface, or maybe he was just with a dirty before that he had to get rid of. That’s what we need to see. Show us the stuff behind the scenes and not sugarcoat it with how much of a gentleman this guy is. How is he supposed to act anyways? That’s why I’ll keep lobbying for a gangsta or a white trash redneck to be the star of this show.
The first girl he takes on a date is a girl named Cheresse. Why do I tell you these names if you don’t watch the show? I don’t have a relevant answer for you there. He surprises her by taking her to a private show by Brandy and she sings for them. For what it’s worth and those who don’t know, Brandy is now engaged to Quentin Richardson of the Phoenix Suns. Check out her new video too as she’s looking real good, and she’s a Mom. The next date is with this 37-year old girl named Jayne. He took her on a fishing outing and she caught her first fish evarrrr. They hit it off good and she’s not as slutty as a lot of these other chicks. More of Krysta the dirty getting jealous at every other girl in the house. That makes for good entertainment and I think ABC makes him keep her along for the ride for drama purposes. Leina, a hot looking Hawaiian type chick (maybe?) does her best Ludacris impression and rolls out on the show, as she admits she has a guy back home she needs to get back to. My favorite chick, or at least looks wise, Natalie, got the shaft this week. Not the porn shaft, but the shaft out the door.
We’re down to the Top 10. Not that you care, but here is who is left for the pickings: Tanya, Amanda, Elizabeth, Cheresse, Andrea (was bawling because she was worried she wouldn’t get picked; stupid girl), Susie, Jayne, Kristie, Krysta, and Cindy. Ashley, Natalie, Wende, and Kelly are now sitting at home, writing Blogs like us, while being single. Next week could be interesting though. They bring in two “mystery” girls to add to the selection. They show a preview of the other girls whining about that. I’m too caught up in this mess, but oh well. I could be doing worse.
Last night my Yankees clinched the AL East for the 7th straight season. They also got to 100 wins on the year, which along with St. Louis, they’re the only two teams who will do that. Meanwhile, Arizona may not get to 50. The weekend series at Toronto doesn’t mean much since we clinched, but I hope we can just keep the momentum going for the playoffs. Every year people say we’ll get rocked and maybe this is the year. I’d say we have the shakiest pitching of a 100-win team in quite some time, but then again, nobody else is blowing things away as a staff, plus we have Mo Rivera, so I’m confident we can get pretty far.
The early risers will know what I’m talking about here. Does anyone watch ESPN2’s Cold Pizza? It’s a pretty good show actually. It’s on in the mornings from 7:00-9:00 EST, and a replay from 9:00-11:00. My favorite segment of the show is when Woody Paige (of Around The Horn fame) and Skip Bayless (hosts the Jim Rome Show when Romey is out often and is a regular on Rome Is Burning). Not many like Skip, but he tells things how it is. He can be a punk, but it makes for good TV, especially combining him with the great Woody Paige. Woody absolutely makes Around The Horn. When he takes a day off, the show isn’t nearly as good as it is normally.
What’s new in the world of CDs? I’ll just run down what I loaded up on last night:
Busta Rhymes: Genesis
Game: Nigga With Attitude (Compton G-Unit rapper)
Mac Mall: The Macuscripts – Volume 1
MC Eiht: Veteran’s Day
Michael Jackson: Off The Wall
Young Kev: Ghetto Gospel
Cork hooked me up with an older Busta CD there. He’s underrated if you ask me. Cork has a bundle at home he’s going to bring out in the next few days, so that’ll be more to the collection. Game is a must for you to get, especially for the people along for the ride on this album. Of course you get 50 and Lloyd Banks, but you also get Snoop, Ludacris, Kanye West, Jim Jones, WC, Lil Flip, and something that takes my breath away, even the man himself, Dr. Dre makes a rap appearance in that one, which is rare today. Mac Mall and MC Eiht have been talked about in here before, and both are Bay Area thugs, so you can’t go wrong with that. The next one I went with a little old school with some old Michael Jackson. Say what you want about his stuff outside of music, but he can get it done musically and is the best dancer ever if you ask me. Usher can’t hang with that, no chance. Lastly, we get Young Kev. Who is that? I have no idea either, but I figured I’d try it out for the fun of things.
I’d like to give two big birthday shoutouts today. Both have Blogs, so they get that hyped up as well. Happy Birthday to ManDingo and Susie!
